The latter starts with a piano and evolves quickly to a gently rocking hymn with great melodies and a lot of b(r)and recognition. As it is, it only serves to remind us how impressive the album was early on and how much it had softened up since that point.

With previous DARE albums now having well over 4 million streams on Spotify, it’s clear that for the growing army of DARE fans, the wait is nearly over, as they prepare to join DARE on The Road To Eden. We hear the words when we face hardship, struggle and sometimes, just when we think all is lost, we find the strength to carry on, we remember the words. My best strength is writing melodic pop songs so I just let it all flow as I wanted this album to be soaked in colour and completely natural. The one for the ones who got away and might have stayed if things had been different, a vibe that “I Always Will” carries on in truth.A triumphant live set at Sonisphere was followed by a flight across the Atlantic to begin work on their first record, with veteran manager Alan Niven ( Guns N’ Roses) at the helm. The summation concludes, "there are no fillers here – 11 great tracks of keyboard and guitar framed music; this is a wonderful album that takes a step back from the Celtic influences of recent times and a huge step back towards straight ahead moody AOR". The new album has a harder rock edge than previous albums, while still retaining the atmospheric sound, and anthemic melodies that has become the band’s signature trademark. Born in the Storm is a Magnum-esque opener, and it's a peach too, but Cradle to the Grave sounds folkier, because of the way the vocal line unfolds.

The latter went right into the charts in the UK and gave Dare a solid platform for a continuation of this winning streak. As change of pace again, Burns’ guitar evokes the sound of haunting bagpipes on the melancholy rocker , ‘I Always Will’. That choice would have created an album of two sides, one hard and one soft, and listeners could easily choose which they wanted to replay, depending on their tastes. I wrote all of the songs on the album except Tunnel Of Time which is a collaboration between myself and Paul Weller. On the other hand, if you want to be critical ‘Road To Eden’ might be slightly heavier but the band remains safely within their own musical boundaries.Afghanistan, Albania, Algeria, Angola, Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan Republic, Bahamas, Bangladesh, Barbados, Belarus, Benin, Bhutan, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Botswana, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cape Verde Islands, Central African Republic, Chad, Chile, China, Colombia, Comoros, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Ecuador, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, French Guiana, French Polynesia, Gabon Republic, Gambia, Georgia, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Guadeloupe, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Maldives, Mali, Martinique, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mayotte, Mexico, Mongolia, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Nepal, New Caledonia, Niger, Oman, Pakistan, Panama, Peru, Republic of Croatia, Republic of the Congo, Reunion, Romania, Russian Federation, Rwanda, Saint Helena, Saint Kitts-Nevis, Saint Lucia, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Swaziland, Tanzania, Togo, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, Uganda, Ukraine, Venezuela, Virgin Islands (U. Actually it is easily the rockiest number on show and ‘Cradle To The Grave’ is more mid tempo with a very celtic backing even in the guitar solo while the tastefulness of the guitar melodies carry ‘Fire Never Fades’ . Lovers And Friends” is a stripped down ballad, for this collection, but it’s layers of keyboard are really special. Their sound could be summed up as a sort of classic hard rock/AOR with intelligent and introspective lyrics.
