Description

Apple does not license the MagSafe connector to third parties, but manufacturers have devised a workaround: their MagSafe-compatible products use the actual connector from Apple's AC adapter, grafted onto their own products. Phones - Item will show heavy signs of use, Wear, Marks, Dents, Scuffs, Chips and LCD Marking (Screen Burn/Pressure Marks).

This 2-metre charge cable features a magnetic MagSafe 3 connector that helps guide the plug to the charging port of your Mac notebook. MagSafe can be found on the MacBook (2006–2011), MacBook Pro (2006 through mid-2012, non-Retina) and MacBook Air (2008–2011) notebook computers. The magnetic connection is strong enough to resist most unintended disconnects, but if someone trips on the cable, it releases so your Mac notebook stays put. Longtime MacBook users will recognize a familiar feature on Apple’s newly announced 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros. The rectangular metal shroud surrounding the pins acts as shielding for the electrical pins and a ferrous attractor for the magnet in the laptop.

Less heat means components can be closer together, so a charger can be smaller than ever before—while maintaining all the power capabilities and safety standards! In 2008, Apple posted an official response acknowledging problems with MagSafe adapters, which include incomplete circuit connection and adapter's white insulation separating from the magnetic end of the MagSafe connector.

The new MacBook Pros can still charge via their USB-C charging ports just like their predecessors, but there is a big advantage to charging over MagSafe 3: it’s faster. You have multiple account types and you can switch between them at any time in the navigation bar or in your dashboard.According to Apple, an adapter with a higher wattage than that originally provided may be used without problems. MagSafe was introduced on 10 January 2006, in conjunction with the MacBook Pro, the first Intel-based Mac laptop, at the Macworld Expo. The Magsafe 3 connection is strong enough to resist most accidental disconnects, but will release the cable if someone trips on it, so your MacBook Pro stays safe. The Power-X system will never damage your devices, it can intelligently adjust the power output to protect your product's battery. Apple formerly offered a "MagSafe Airline Adapter" for use on airplanes with EmPower Classic outlets.
