saw this iconic character rebranded again, this time in a brand new TV series called Noddy Toyland Detective. The owners of the brand are DreamWorks Animation who granted Spin Master the global licence to design and manufacture a whole new range of toys. These not only include soft toys and collectable figures of all the main characters, but also vehicles, playsets, jigsaws, games and associated gifts. Still one of our favourite characters, Noddy has been around in one form or another since Enid Blyton wrote her first Noddy book in 1949, appropriately called “Noddy Goes To Toyland”. No mention of Noddy toys would be complete without his wise and bearded brownie friend Big Ears, who accompanies Noddy on many of his adventures. Brutal Honesty: In the books and early works, Big Ears was less liable to pull punches when it came to the shortcomings of Noddy and other toys. Whiny and Whimper (voiced by James Rankin) are two babies, one male, one female – one is dressed in pink, the other in blue – in a cradle. They often cry at any tense situation like lost rattles. They are usually found singing with the other characters. In one episode, a miscast spell by Boobull causes them to speak like teenagers. Mouthy Kid: In the books, alongside older adaptations up till Toyland Adventures (except the 1963 animated short), he was prone to mouthing off to others when he gets upset, angry, or sad. He was also prone to throwing tantrums and would frequently be seen crying in the books. This aspect of his personality was removed in the CGI incarnations and the 1994 stage show.

Kate, D.J. and their friends are all dressed up for Halloween, so are the toys. Truman and Aunt Agatha have to find scary costumes at the last minute. Tessie Bear feels sad after she popped her balloon. One morning, a mysterious giant present appears in the square. Noddy learns a valuable lesson about other people's property when he loses a tool he borrowed from Mr. Sparks without his permission. Played by: Roger Bingham ( Noddy Live 1994)The Toytown Police officer who would sometimes think Noddy did something wrong. Cheerful Child: At least in Make Way For Noddy, and Noddy In Toyland especially since she's voiced by an actual child in the US/Canadian dub.Noddy and Tessie Bear organize a party for Big Ears, but the wind takes them up into the air while driving to it. Bud Topper (played by Neil Crone) is Littleton Falls' second crossing guard. He is a young crossing guard who often gets into practical jokes and hilarious chases around town. He replaced Carl Spiffy, starting with the second-season episode "Little Swap of Horrors".

Noddy was relaunched in 2011 with a different theme of 'Noddy Takes To The Air'. He became a pilot in this series, and Bandai were charged with creating a range of successful toys based on his adventures. Master Tubby Bear eats all of the chocolate that Noddy delivered for Chocolate Day and has a bad dream when he falls asleep. Noah isn't feeling at all well, but is too afraid of Aunt Agatha's Agony Cure for Aches to ask for help. Oh, Crap!: In the Toyland Adventures episode "Noddy and the Treasure Map", Master Tubby asks Noddy if he could hide in his house by claming "He's playing Hide and Seek with me". Unlike his previous encounters with Noddy, Master Tubby is notably on edge due to angering his father. Keet: The Skittle children are very hyperactive, notably in the original books where they get into mischief. And I Must Scream: Some of their spells, while Played for Laughs, reek unnervingly of this trope. In "Noddy and the Noisy Drum" they curse Martha to march and drum non-stop to annoy the rest of the Toy Town, "The Magic Powder" where a powder they distribute forces toys to unwillingly dance when music plays, or "The Goblins' Stopwatch" where the title device straight up freezes everyone on the spot. A more Played for Drama variant occurs in "Noddy and the Singing Bush" where their "runaway spell" forces everyone to be horrid to Noddy and walk away from him (it's solved when Sly accidentally puts it in reverse and makes everyone driven to be nice to Noddy, even them).

The stories in The Noddy Shop mainly centered on three children, Noah's grandchildren, Kate and Truman, and a friend of Kate's named Daniel Johnson, shortened to D.J., who came to play at the shop, and were collected by their (unseen) parents at the end of the day, implying the episodes were set after school, during school holidays or weekends. Gil Filar as Boobull Goblin, the son of Lurk and Snipe. Despite being the youngest, he is intelligent, speaks proper English, and appears to be in charge of his Mom and Dad. Tessie Bear, a clever young female teddy bear who is Noddy's friend. She was instead replaced by a female panda named Pat-Pat.She's also the focus of "Noddy and the Funny Pictures", "Bicycle Battle" and "Martha Monkey's Banana Pie" in Make Way For Noddy.
