Update 09/22/2021: We have retested 'Multi-Device Pairing'. These headphones can connect to two devices at once by sliding the power button towards the 'Bluetooth' label on the headphones to enter pairing mode. The headphones give you an audible confirmation that you have two devices connected. However, you can only hear audio input from one device at a time. Unfortunately, you can't play audio from a console and a Bluetooth device at once. There hasn't been a change in our results. The Jabra Sound Plus app is available for iOS and Android devices. The smartphone app has many similar settings as the Jabra Direct app with a few other options, including using the earcup microphone for calls rather than the boom arm mic. Microphone noise canceling -> There was so much noise while I was calling (2 kids playing loud in the room next to me and nothing was transferred into my calls. Awesome job! That isn’t to say there’s no premium feeling in these headphones. All of the leather coverings feel truly top-notch, with soft touch surfaces and resilient enough consistencies. The swiveling ear cups also feel very substantial, and I’m pretty sure they will withstand their share of abuse, even if the headband itself isn’t as confidence-inducing. The leather-wrapped, hardshell case also feels premium, with a nice zipper and plenty of organizational components on the inside. Overall, I’m mostly impressed, even if Jabra did cut a couple corners here. Something that’s tough for over-ear headphone manufacturers to truly get right is finding the proper clamp and foam to wrap around your ears. Higher-end manufacturers in the space—like Sony and Bose—usually give you all the softness and comfort you’re looking for, but lower-end headphones tend to skimp here, making them less than comfortable.

Also: Best wireless noise-canceling headsets for business in 2020: Plantronics, Jabra, Logitech, and more While most premium headphones in the price point do feel sleek and premium, there’s something about the look of the Evole2 85 that just fits better into a professional environment.

Each of my colleagues said that my voice quality was poor. I couldn't believe that so I tested it by myself and what should I say ... they all are totally right. The microphone quality is garbage. Compared to my 30€ Superlux Headset, it's a total waste of money. First I thought it was a OSX issue. Then I switched to my Win10 system and the same annoying quality. This is not what I hoped to receive for 320€. Update 10/25/2021: These headphones were updated to Test Bench 1.5 and their latency values have changed. Our previous Test Bench 1.4 measurements reported 'PC latency' at 234 ms, 'iOS latency' at 137 ms, and 'Android Latency' at 165 ms. However, our new test bench uses an average of three measurements instead of one, resulting in different values. As a result, we have updated our text to better reflect test bench 1.5 measurements. It's small, thin and feels really fragile. It gives the impression as if it already breaks down from just looking at it. I would prefer a better microphone which is longer and can be adjusted to my needs even if it doesn't win a design award. Combining all of this Microsoft Teams integration with an easy to control boom arm, long battery life, and comfortable ear cups means this is the headset for me and everyone else using Microsoft Teams to get work done. Voit työskennellä langattomasti koko viikon, sillä latausten välinen akunkesto on jopa 37 tuntia. While you can use the left ear cup button to toggle between sound modes, you can also do this in the Moments section of the smartphone app. Battery percentage is also shown in the smartphone app. Daily usage experiences and conclusion The arm doesn't stay in the lowest position ... it just moves a little bit upwards, what results in a slightly reduced quality. At first, it's a really great idea to have a microphone arm on this headset which can be folded or hidden while just listening to music or watching a movie. Great idea to combine business and private use-cases. But then this construction ... that can't be your answer Jabra! We set out to create instant quiet, anywhere. The result is a world-class professional headset with cutting-edge digital hybrid Active Noise-Cancellation (ANC), powered by our most advanced digital chipset ever and designed for incredible noise isolation; just put it on for instant immersion in your thoughts. It's time to change the game. Welcome to the new standard. It seems like Jabra has taken a subtler approach with the ANC on these headphones, and that makes it more capable and less uncomfortable for sensitive ears than something like Apple’s AirPods Max. To be fair, you won’t be amazed by the amount of noise cancellation, and I do think that Jabra’s “commute” vs. “office” vs. other customizable modes in the app is overselling the capabilities a bit. But in general, this worked well for me as an all-day work headset.

You can also adjust what some of the controls do and easily control whether ANC or transparency mode is activated. There’s a desktop option called the Jabra Direct app, which provides some of the same customization, but isn’t quite as user-friendly as the mobile one. In short, the software functionality that comes with these headphones is all there. The best way I can describe the Evolve2s is that they are a work-oriented pair of headphones that happen to do music very well. Most of my clients also call my cellphone, rather than my desk phone and as we continue remote work we may move the company to call service through the Microsoft Teams solution. Right now, I pair my Surface Pro 6 with Jabra Direct and my primary cellphone with Sound Plus to the Evolve2 85. Whether calls come through Teams or my cellphone, one headset is there and ready to help me respond. Jabra offers two versions of the Evolve2 85 headphones; one for Unified Communications (UC) and the other focused on Microsoft Teams. Since I spend all day interacting with various coworkers, clients, and others on Microsoft Teams I tested out the model optimized for Microsoft Teams. I've been using the headset for the past three weeks and it has bumped the Plantronics model I was using for my remote work setup. Jabra promises battery totals up to a whopping 37 hours of use—easily 10 more hours of music listening than competitors in the space.Headband ultra soft foam covered in colour-matched leatherette, ear cushion soft audio foam covered in colour-matched leatherette When you finally find a headset that you just can't do without, it's good to know you don't have to. We've used our advanced battery efficiency technology to squeeze every last minute of juice out of this powerful headset. The result is an industry-leading 37-hour battery life (powered by that mighty little chipset again). And because we like to cover all bases, there's always the handy charging stand - just in case. Rest assured; Evolve2 85 will get you through the week. I am a bit disappointed the charging cradle comes at a surcharge, because these headphones are already so expensive and the use case of plopping them down on your desk to charge makes so much sense.

Jabra set up a great partnership with Microsoft on launching a version of this headset with official Teams support. The Evolve2 is certified for Teams as a plug-and-play experience. As listed by Jabra, this experience includes: Teams-sertifiointi tekee tiimityöstä sujuvaa. With premium materials, multi-mic-supported active noise cancellation, and a host of features that make the 85 friendly for both work and play, it might be the best all-around over-ear headset for business-oriented users. I spent a few days with my pair to see how they made the transition in and out of my workday.Jabra Direct makes sure that your headset always has the latest firmware, guaranteeing you'll have the most up-to-date features, bug fixes and easy access to compatibility updates. With the user-friendly Direct Dashboard, staying current has never been easier. For me it's not worth the 320€ and certainly not the 540€ suggested retail price. I would keep and like it if the microphone quality and the boom arm would be way way better, but this is a no-go for a premium business headset in this price range. The problem with the bluetooth protocol ... meh, you didn't made your homework Jabra.
