Description

Assuming the Audience's Age: The voice of the "viewer" will always be childish, as it is the focus audience of the series. Shrinking Violet: Best shown in Blue's Big Musical Movie, where she wants to sing, but is too nervous to ask. Early-Installment Weirdness: In his early episodes Steve was noticeably more excited and easily stimulated, but from the middle of the first season he calms down a little, trying to appear cooler to the viewer, going visibly crazy upon finding the first clue in the series. Ambiguously Absent Parent: The three have grandparents and Steve and Joe are brothers but their parents are never mentioned. The Klutz: He is extremely clumsy and can't get around without slipping and sliding. He usually takes his clumsiness in stride, with the exception of Blue's Big Musical Movie, in which his slipping almost ruins the show and makes him want to give up. Slippery's friends use a song, "Don't Give Up", to help him feel better and go on with the show.

Hero of Another Story: She is a famous singer in the real world, apparently evolved the abilities that other puppies have and has her own dimension among all skidoo worlds, but that side of her is never explained or explored. Vague Age: Although they are typically represented by childish voices, Steve and Joe appear to be able to see and interact with older viewers (who watched their eras), which Josh doesn't seem to be able to do.

Remember the New Guy??: First appeared in "Something New At Blue's School", but everyone seems to know and be used to her during the episode. Clap Your Hands If You Believe: How his powers of bringing objects to life seem to work. If he believes the object is alive, it turns to life just a few seconds later.

Hero of Another Story: "The Mystery of the Missing Pies" is revealed that not only he can talk, but also that he is a Private Detective, has a family, has his own version of Josh's Handy-Dandy Notebook and lives in a community of colorful Gophers. Somehow the adorable Gopher who occasionally trolled the hosts had a whole adventure story going on. Manchild: These grown men sleep with stuffed animals, sing nursery rhymes, and throw birthday parties for their dog.

Miss Marigold

Birds of a Feather: Professional Example. She shares many characteristics with Josh, like their attention difficulties, peculiar mannerisms and love for music, which is partially why she wants Josh to be the one who is the star of her show, as they are similar in their ways of express. This causes her to enter a short Heroic BSoD in the movie when Josh is unable to make it to the test on time as she sees this as a sign that her dream was probably not meant to happen. Bubble Shield: As Super Soap when he is in the super city. Here Slippery expands his bubble-making ability to create tough shields. Last-Minute Baby Naming: Paprika named Cinnamon on the first day of his life, after deciding that "he looks like a Cinnamon".

The Reliable One: Everyone seems to trust Blue a lot to make the best decisions and answer questions (which to be fair, she usually does), with almost every episode being about Blue giving advice to her friends about what to do. Perspective Magic: Implied Trope, the only explainable way for the way in which some clues work, to give you an idea, she has already put clues in the sky, in clouds, in water, an extremely large clue on the roof of the house, extremely small and individual clues on straws and the list just goes on and on and even her owners seem to question how Blue is capable of committing such acts. Everyone Is Christian at Christmas: Avoided. Although they were introduced in the Christmas-themed episode, it is made clear that neither Tyrese nor Sam (as well as the animals they care for) are Christians.

It Runs in the Family: Like their cousin Josh and their grandmother Lola, they are extremely artistic in multiple areas with the most visible being singing. The Reliable One: Handwaved. As the local firefighter, Frankie needs to build trust with those around her, and always be prepared regardless of the situation. Ambiguous Situation: She seems to exist in the Reboot universe since Josh mentions her in an official video where he tells the story of the episode "Blue Big Holiday" but is not present at school. Whether she moved away at some point or simply we only see the times when she is not present (as happened with other characters) is unclear.

Divergent Character Evolution: They have similar characters but from the third season onwards they form their own traits. Shovel is more shy, scared and naive while Pail is more down to earth and outgoing. The caretakers of three (or four) of Blue's classmates who teach Steve what the holidays they celebrate at the end of the year mean. Wynonna owns Green Puppy, Sam owns Orange Kitten and Tyrese owns Purple Kangaroo and his sister. Adaptational Gender Identity: Was female in the original (although had the voice of a male opera singer whenever she sings), but has a distinctive masculine voice in the reboot. His Name Really Is "Barkeep": Her name is canonically Lola, which means grandma. Meaning her grandchildren are calling her grandma while other people are calling her by her name.

Advertised Extra: While she appears on most merchandise made for the original series, she usually would only appear a few times a season. Averted with the reboot, where she appears much more frequently. Little Miss Snarker: Yes, this sweet bunny can be a little sarcastic when she wants to, sometimes without even saying a single word, although unlike most cases she doesn't come off as rude.
