Neither on the perfume-photos, nor in the local Müller shelf this thing could seduce me to the test. Once I took it in my hand and had to admit that the bottle is damn good in my hand. And I sprayed. It was the only time so far that the haptic experience of a perfume bottle would have moved me to test it. Geranium and basil are finely balanced. It becomes somewhat synthetic for me from the heart note on and approaches some long known scents. The juniper was just a little farther away. Personally, I would have liked more of that,

The freshness in the morning to wake up, either from fruity shower gel or the smoothie for breakfast. In the office it appears clear and structured, almost synthetic, unobtrusive and likeable. Towards the end he becomes warm and cuddly. You would just have to make sure that you are already out of the office and rather in the restaurant, in the café. Otherwise he might ask the wrong people to cuddle. THE BOTTLE. A sophisticated glass bottle with deep blue striped pattern relief, just like its case. On the bottle a metal plate signs the fragrance, while its base is engraved with the Rochas seal. Its case features the Rochas band, a symbol of distinction. Eau de Rochas Homme (1993) is a peculiar perfume in regards to how it came about, but an amazing alternative to the usual "blue" aquatic or citric fruity laundry musk thing that was around at the time. Edmond Roudnitska created Moustache by Rochas (1949) as a then-unconventional citrus aromatic chypre for men, with a cologne-like arrangement of citruses and a sour musky civet note to enhance the sandalwood oakmoss base so it wouldn't feel too soft or feminine. Years after the men's citrus chypre was starting to run its course (mutating into aromatic or animalic chypres with added leather or balsamic bases of patchouli and benzoin), the green chypre was subverted and taken over by the women's perfume market, which was serving a population perhaps starting to tire of sweet aldehyde chypre perfumes living in the shadow of Chanel No. 5 (1921). The original Eau de Rochas (1970) came about as a retooling of Moustache by Nicholas Mammounas to make it universal in appeal. The scent itself was hot on the heels of Ô de Lancôme (1969), and would compete in time against Balenciaga Ho Hang (1972), Sisley Eau de Campagne (1974,) and Yves Saint Laurent Eau Libre (1975), but this early unisex bubble would fail thanks to stubborn male patriarchy and all of these would be shifted to the women's market save Ho Hang, which found popularity among men, and Eau Libre, which would be aborted. Eau de Rochas in time started seeing more use by men, so someone had the bright idea to reconfigure it for a proper masculine release to compete with aquatics, alongside the original 1970 version by then marketed to women. When this came out in 2020, i immediately became interested on it, mainly for 2 things. First, i love many other offering from the brand, and second, was created by Bruno Jovanovic, who doesn't have many designers on their portfolio, but is a great nose. Hearing the fragrance so contemporary, not at all dated, makes me think Rochas has successfully reformulated it for the better. The aroma is pleasant and the combination of citrus notes with resinous and smoky ones. I find it brilliant and successful. I don’t perceive marine or salty notes. We got the freshness of this perfume from citrus fruits and aromatic herbs. Overall, performances are not astounding, as most today fragrances. The longevity is moderate; it lasted me from half a day, but it is very close to the skin. If you are a citrus lover, this is an amazing fragrance for the price and quality. A morning and daily scent, perfect for late spring and summer. If I have to find a similarity, it reminds me of another recent buy, namely Verveine Cédrat, the share the same verveine vibe.

I find' the pretty generic (did not know the word until yesterday, but have seen it on Google). Is' halt so'n blue, you know, so stupid Chanel, but just unschanellig, but also not as bad as Y and so. Can you spray on it, so now really smells better than a disinfectant, even has 78 revolutions ... aba, so I do not know so right. " (Smells his wrist and frowns) "No, I think there's something better. But like I said, you can do it, it's pretty cheap." L'Homme Rochas belongs to the olfactory Oriental-Fougère family that combines fresh citrus notes with warm aromatic tones. It offers accords of bitter orange, pineapple, cardamom and oriental spices, notes of basil, geranium and juniper berries, complemented by a base of moss and tonka. I started my review in this way because the first thought that came to my mind when I tested this gem was, “Oh Rochas, Rochas, where have you been until now?” Well, as I am getting old, I don’t remember if I came across an original edition in the past, or if it happened, but now I don’t remember the smell. The fact is that in this review I will limit myself to telling the sensations that the version I own gives me without making comparisons with the original version. I have to thank @HugoMontez because it is thanks to his review that I came across this barely unknown precious gem. Or rather, I knew the perfume and its feminine counterpart, and I often saw it on the shelves, but I associated it with the common fresh and citrusy eau de cologne and therefore I did not even pay a glance to it. The @HugoMontez review opened my eyes and mind wide, and so I ran into the shop to try, and immediately buy, this masterpiece. Here we go. I've seen this one before, and the Moustache. And I wonder how Rochas could bang out this chemical sauce after that wonderful, lush, sophisticated scent. Hurts my heart, and my nose. Uarghigittigitt ...!"

To prolong the scent for longer, apply your fragrance on the inside of the wrists and behind the earlobe. These pulse zones have a higher temperature than the rest of the body, and this will help the fragrance to evaporate more slowly. It is nothing completely new overall, it is also not a fragrance for nostalgics, because there is nothing classic about it. It is also not made for charismatics, unless you want to dim the charisma down.Anyway, i wore this a lot to really test it during work, casual events, at home, date nights, etc... half the bottle gone and i became a fan of it. I don't know what everyone always has. Hey, 30 euros, bang, bang, bang, smells good. Girlfriend: 'You smell so fresh, honey.' Me like that: "I know". What more do I want? I like this one. Nobrainer, Allrounder, Signature, Dumb-Reach, Digger, oh crap, now I can't think of any more Anglicisms. Well, sh** on it, you know what I mean. Cool release with ok performance. Runs full!"
