The W820NB (review here) and Focus A10 headphones have a lot in common when it comes to their features and sound signature. However, the A10’s build quality feels more premium, thanks to its rotating earcups and a compact folding design that makes it easier to store and transport. These features make the A10 an excellent option for those who value portability and convenience. I am notoriously bad at judging comfort due to my overly sensitive scalp, but I find the A10 to be quite uncomfortable due to the headband having very little padding. While the earpads are fine, if a bit warm, the headband definitely would enjoy a bit more padding. The Bluetooth radio is v5.0 so there’s no issue with range – everything was still working at 12 metres line-of-sight – and battery life is pretty good. According to OneOdio, the 750mAh battery is good for 25 hours with both ANC and Bluetooth on, 40 hours of Bluetooth without ANC, and 80 hours in wired mode with ANC enabled. That chimed with my experiences running volume at around 80%. The OneOdio Focus A10 boasts a sleek and modern design that features classic OneOdio elements such as concentric rings on the earcups and a foldable design. The headphones are built with a combination of plastic and lightweight aluminium for a sturdy and durable build. Additionally, the headband has soft padding to provide pressure relief while the earpads are soft and plush, making them comfortable for long listening sessions.

Transparency mode is adequate, but can make your own voice sound a little raspy in your own ears, and whilst there is only a minor amount of static noise that wasn't enough to bother me, it may not be to everyone's liking. It handles mid-distance conversations well, but any further and it may struggle - if someone is shouting at you from the other side of the room, you'll probably hear it, but you may not be able to decipher every word. In conclusion, the OneOdio Focus A10 wireless headphones offer a balanced sound signature with a warm and engaging midrange, controlled sub-bass, and relaxed treble. The headphones have a premium build quality, which includes rotating earcups and a compact folding design for easy storage and transportation. I have some reservations about the controls. For starters, the volume buttons are inverted, whereas the bottom button increases volume and vice versa.Additionally, the A10 comes with a handy carrying case that provides extra protection during transit. These features, combined with their reasonable price point, make the OneOdio Focus A10 wireless headphones an excellent choice for those who value both sound quality and convenience. The fit is very comfortable and the look is very subtle as far as over-ears go - I found myself only making occasional micro-adjustments, and the low clamping force means your ears won't get too sweaty, which is always a big bonus, but on the flip side it can occasionally result in some sound leakage, and comfort is optimised over noise reduction. It means that the A10 are better suited to casual listening and the daily commute over exercise, where excessive motion can result in the headphones moving around quite a bit - you'll be fine with a dash to make the train, but I wouldn't run 10km in them. Build quality is that which you can expect from low-priced headphones, so it’s not exceptional, but it’s still quite good for the price. There’s no creaking whatsoever while wearing the headphones, but there is some if you bend the headband sideways with some force.

The build quality of OneOdio headphones has always been above average and even in the case of the A30, even if there were some shortcomings, overall, it was a solid pair of headphones. The upgraded version of OneOdio A10 is even better, sporting much more metal than what I saw on all of its siblings in the same price range. Even more than the Monitor 80 which retails for much more. Indeed, part of the outer shell of the earcups is metallic and when paired with the smooth movement of the headband expansion, this gets as close as possible to premium build quality. The OneOdio A10 earcups. In conclusion, both headphones are excellent options for those looking for wireless headphones with similar features and sound signatures. The Edifier is slightly cheaper, but its build quality is inferior to the A10, and it doesn’t come with a carrying case. Verdict Although I’ve had no issues with the headband, many users have complained that the padding on the headband is not enough. They claim that the hard plastic (at the top) manages to get through the air bubble and silicone sheath. (Mostly because there’s not enough padding.)You get two cables in the case. The first is a USB-C to USB-A charge cable, and the second is a USB-C to 3.5mm analog audio cable that’s about one meter long. Crank up the volume on an album like Robyn’s “Bodytalk Part 1” and the A10s are in their element, the pumping bass coming across hard and clear. In April 2020, she started writing for Android Authority, covering listicles, helpful how-to's for Android devices, and content on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. There are a few omissions and areas of improvement - app support being the main one, ANC could be a little stronger, transparency mode could be a little more natural, and arguably the +- button orientation would have been better the other way around, but these are very minor quibbles, and there's nothing stopping OneOdio from adding app support in the future - fingers crossed! If you’re doing some online holiday/Christmas shopping for yourself or a loved one and you’re interested in a bass-centric sound, but want to start somewhere cheaper than Sony’s Extra Bass lineup, these are a decent choice.

There’s an old adage when it comes to buying headphones: affordability, sound quality, bells and whistles – choose any two. Multipoint connectivity is always a bonus. I was able to connect to two simultaneous devices without any issue. Whilst I haven't tried the headphones out for any serious gaming, latency on videos is pretty much lip synchronised. What’s In the Box: 1* OneOdio A10 Hybrid ANC Headphone, 1* EVA Case, 1*3.55mm Audio Cable, 1* Type C Charging Cable, 1* User Manual The one particularity that I noticed is how the voices sounded very close to my ears, but without any loss in clarity. At the same time, the instruments are not very clearly defined, but overall, it’s still a pleasant experience unless you’re searching for audiophile level of performance which the A10 can’t provide. OneOdio A10 on a stand. However, with 40mm diameter drivers, they sound pretty good and even the active noise cancelling is effective. They’re a remarkable pair of headphones for very little money.Noise isolation performance is solid, though not in line with the heavy hitters in the ANC world, and not as good as the more-expensive TaoTronics SoundSurge 46's I highlighted and reviewed recently. Midrange is often recessed and distant. It does have a peak in the upper section, though, which often makes it overly bright, almost to the point of being strident. This is especially noticeable with high-pitched instruments such as trumpets or violins. Just like with bass, transients are not really fast, and detail is limited as well. The pads do a little over half of the heavy lifting in the isolation department, and you’ll notice a bigger drop in noise from first putting on the headphones compared to turning the ANC on. On the flip side, there’s no mention of multi-point connection, so you can’t expect these to be connected to multiple devices such as a phone or laptop. Battery Life

When she’s not writing, you can usually find Sarah baking something delicious, hiking up a mountain, or playing video games. TaoTronics’ budget SoundSurge 60 headphones are well made but blighted by a muddy, wayward bass, while Anker’s Soundcore Life Q20 perform well wirelessly but poorly when you use the bundled auxiliary cable. The microphone quality on the OneOdio Focus A10 is great. It’s clear and plenty loud enough for other people to hear what you’re saying. While the W820NB supports the Edifier mobile app, the app doesn’t add much to the overall user experience, apart from displaying the battery level. On the other hand, the OneOdio A10 comes with a handy storage case that is not provided with the W820NB. The case helps protect the headphones during storage and transportation, making it a useful accessory for those who are always on the go.
