Description

Danika Brown knows what she wants: professional success, academic renown, and an occasional roll in the hay to relieve all that career-driven tension. But romance? Been there, done that, burned the T-shirt. Romantic partners, whatever their gender, are a distraction at best and a drain at worst. So Dani asks the universe for the perfect friend-with-benefits—someone who knows the scoreandknows their way around the bedroom. PDF / EPUB File Name: Take_a_Hint_Dani_Brown_-_Talia_Hibbert.pdf, Take_a_Hint_Dani_Brown_-_Talia_Hibbert.epub I enjoyed how Zaf was a sensitive, intelligent, vulnerable romantic man! You don't see that a lot in romance, especially with male sports stars. He was open about his anxiety and grief, about loving romance books, and about wanting his own happy ending. He was so patient with Dani, and really supportive of her, he treated her really well, which just made me fall in love with him! I also liked how Dani was a socially awkward, cynical female with a guarded heart, who struggled with her emotions and feelings, and was slow to open up to people. It was like a role reversal! Together they did make a good pair, they balanced each other out and encouraged each other to be themselves. It was a reoccurring theme throughout the book, that you shouldn't try to change your partner, but accept them as they are. I loved both of the families, Dani and her sisters, Chloe and Eve, plus Gigi, and Zaf with his mum, Kiran and Fluffy! They were all so supportive of each other! I just want to hang out with all of them! Except for that thing when you take a big bite of what you think is an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie (one of the best kinds) and instead you are dealt the killing blow of an unexpected raisin.

This book was a cute read. There was something missing for me but ultimately did enjoy it. The author is talented, I'm just not sure I'm a fan of the situationship turned relationship because rarely do situationships ever end in monogamous relationships. And what's with all the men reading romance in books at the moment?! Its like some trend, I've seen three books with it in now 😂 Is it not enough that Zaf is the perfect man, helping at risks kids deal with their emotions and with toxic masculinity?! *Swoons*More importantly, Talia Hibbert's effortlessly diverse and representative characters were on display once again. That's a big one. And while this particular book didn't work for me, its predecessor very much did, and I will not for one second be giving up on this series or this author. Or romance, which seems to be the only genre I am able to actually read in this godawful year. GIVE ME LAUGHS AND LOVE.

Dani also struggled with her life/work balance, and with the pressure of academia, which many people can relate to. Her focus was admirable, but this book reminded us that we should have outside interests, and take care of ourselves too.

Danika Brown knows what she wants: professional success, academic renown and an occasional roll in the hay to relieve all that career-driven tension. But romance? Been there, done that, burned the T-shirt. Romantic partners, whatever their gender, are a distraction at best and a drain at worst. So Dani asks the universe for the perfect friend-with-benefits --- someone who knows the score and knows their way around the bedroom. I loved the first in the series get a life Chloe Brown so I couldn't wait to read take a hint Dani Brown it was whitty, moving and romantic sometimes all in one sentence. As for Dani, well, she’s fantastic! She’s motivated and determined, she’s blunt and she’s confident, but she also protects her heart at all costs. She values her success in her academic field, and it was so wonderful getting to read about someone who so obviously loved what they did, and was not ashamed to put their focus on their work rather than other places.

Dani Brown is an extremely intelligent, goal focused and hard working what Dani is no good at is relationships. During a fire drill Dani gets trapped in a lift and is rescued by Zafir (Zaf) her work colleague and good friend. She sees his rescue as a sign from the universe that they should be friends with benefits and then a video of Zaf rescuing Dani becomes viral they strike up a deal. Talia Hibbert has done it again with the second book in her series about the Brown sisters. I loved this book so flippin’ much! I really enjoyed the first book in this series, Get A Life, Chloe Brown, but I really, REALLY enjoyed the second book. This was a brilliant 5 star read for me. I feel like I can’t stop talking about this one and I just might not! Take a Hint, Dani Brown was absolutely wonderful with an amazing romance and delightful characters. Zaf and Dani were both lovable and relatable characters; Zaf being sweet, attentive and enjoys smutty romance, Dani being guarded and super cautious w her heart—couldn’t ask for a better dynamic. I really liked seeing Zaf teach Dani how to express her feelings and be more vulnerable.

Zaf’s palms slid up over her rounded belly, and then his thumbs caressed the sensitive undersides of her breasts.
