These spiritual entities are, according to Christian tradition, angels that were cast out of heaven after following their leader, Satan, in rebellion against God. Because of their transgressions, they now roam the earth as they await the final judgment. Does this passage directly or indirectly say that believers should never attempt to cast out demons through Christ’s authority? This passage does tell us that Michael did not have authority to rebuke the devil, which probably represents how Satan was originally equal to Michael or in authority over him in the original creation. Therefore, Michael had to appeal to God to rebuke Satan. It also shows us the pride of the false teachers who reject authority and in their pride insult demons. Neither situation directly corresponds to the believers’ authority to cast out demons, which is demonstrated throughout the New Testament (the apostles, the seventy, and Philip). Believers have a special authority because of their relationship to Christ, which angels don’t have. According to Paul in Ephesians 1:20-22 and 2:6, believers were resurrected with Christ and seated in the heavenlies above angels and demons, which represents Christ’s authority and the believers’ authority in him over the angelic and demonic realm. Ephesians 1:20-22 and 2:6 says: Consider that the devil doesn’t sleep but seeks our ruin in a thousand ways,” St. Angela Merici once said. The traditional Prayer to St. Michael asks God’s protection from “Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.” The devil tempts people to sin, but demons sometimes attempt our ruin far more aggressively—even by possession. This helps explain why Jesus described His purpose this way: “The Son of Man”— which is what Jesus often called Himself— “did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45, NIV).

When I explained this to the Catholic lay women who share a deliverance ministry, they discerned through prayer and fasting that there was a specific satanic curse placed upon me and anyone in my family who would be Catholic. Apparently my ancestor, who was a 33 rd degree Freemason, had cursed my family in this way, and this was the manner in which I was affected. So this is an example of diabolic obsession, from which I was liberated through the renunciation of such evil.

Therefore, getting free is often not the hardest part of ministering to the demonically oppressed; it is staying free. For this reason, we must provide biblical counseling to the demonically oppressed to help them recognize doors the devil may be using and close them.

Like James and Peter, Paul’s concern is the ability of the believer to stand their ground. To illustrate how to do that, he invokes armor imagery. But it’s important to notice that the focus is on the protective, defensive nature of the armor. Sacred Scripture describes Hell as a place of fire and torment, but even if -- and this is a hypothetical, conditional statement Here are some other books I highly recommend so that you can become more acquainted with the Church’s interpretation and management of extraordinary diabolical activity: Then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see. All the people were astonished and said, “Could this be the Son of David?”As Fr. Fortea says, "We should always remember that in the exercise of our free will we are the authors of our own destiny. The demons can only influence us to the extent that we let them." Attend Church Paul, a follower of Jesus who wrote several of the books of the Bible, says that Jesus dealt with Satan’s power and influence when He died on the cross. Writing to a group of Christians in one city, he said: years -- a period of time that is extremely short when contrasted with eternity -- be sent to Hell, where Satan’s chief sin, it seems, was pride. He thought himself greater than God, more worthy to rule. And so it is something he is intimately familiar with, and is uniquely capable of working through.

According to Fr. Fortea, your denomination doesn’t matter. You don’t have to be Roman Catholic. What truly matters is that you make a good-faith attempt to act in ways which are objectively, scripturally good. In the presence of all the heavenly court, I choose thee, O Mary, this day for my Mother and Mistress. My friends… I’m talking about calling the Woman who is called the “Tower of David,” who is called “Virgin Most Powerful”, I’m talking about the Blessed Virgin Mary, our Mother. I, (Name), a faithless sinner, renew and ratify today in thy hands the vows of my Baptism; I renounce forever satan, his pomps and works; and I give myself entirely to Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Wisdom, to carry my cross after Him all the days of my life, and to be more faithful to Him than I have ever been before.

I’ve never felt fear. I think God just removes that as part of a calling to be involved in this. I’ve seen that with most priests and team members called into this ministry. As time goes on and it becomes clearer that Satan and the demons are limited, fallen creatures on a leash—and that Jesus holds the leash—the drama is even less scary. As the Bible says, don’t fear him who can destroy the body but him who can destroy the body and the soul. Our souls are God’s, and God alone judges us and determines where we go. Jesus Christ was the first exorcist, and He later gave all Christians the power and authority to repel demons. Because of that, His power flows down through the generations, and can be invoked at any time by you. and the true loving God spirit connection issues and “evil” entangled in a lot and even seen the bad “illusions” in history and now and beliefs and biblical life truths stories and faith/love issues in the connection with Jesus and also the true loving God source Spirit Creator and Christos saviour within too 😔

Some people doubt the existence of the devil, believing that he is a human construct to explain the presence of evil. Others have perhaps an unhealthy interest in the demonic. The Church teaches that demons do indeed exist. What are demons, and who is Satan?
