Now I always look for an excuse to dress up, but this year thought I would use my love of world book day and create this beautiful rose sign inspired by Alice in Wonderland when Alice paints the white roses red in the Queen of Hearts' garden. While they might make for unexpected company, this trio were certainly dressed to impress for World Book Day.

Not only that but it can give new confidence – pretending to be someone or something else; develop creativity, imagination and thinking skills. Wellington Lions and Eagles Primaries students had fun dressing up as Mad Hatters, White Rabbits, Red Queens and Alice among many characters whilst enjoying activities throughout the day around the Alice in Wonderland story.

Alice in Wonderland Costume: This costume is designed to resemble Alice's iconic blue dress and white apron, ensuring an authentic look. I painted all the spades and the tube from inside of wrapping paper in black and waited for it all to dry.
