About this deal

In this chat with Fearne, Michelle talks about her disciplined work ethic, as well as how she’s learnt to cope well with the amount of rejection in her industry. Fearne is a mother of two, and step-mother of two, and closely supports a range of charities - most notably mental health charity Mind, The Prince's Trust and Coppafeel! In social media, Fearne has over 7 million Twitter followers and a combined Facebook and Instagram following of over 2. Fearne is an ambassador for The Prince’s Trust and also a patron for Post Pals, Tyler’s Trust and Coppafeel! It did address her mental health journey however not enough for me to read it because it spoke about her experience - the information was there more to set up her ideas.

Activist and broadcaster Emma Dabiri’s academic work critiques the image-conscious society we live in. I was about halfway through the book thinking it was okay but not great, and I then decided to pick up a pen and go back through the book and fill it out properly – and it went from okay to brilliant. His UK tour in March is sold out and final tickets are available for his headline shows at Alexandra Palace Park (July 19th), Dublin (June 26th) and Halifax Piece Hall (June 30th).

It didn't necessarily tell me anything I didn't already know but I liked the presentation of the information, I like the design, the feel when you hold the book, the illustrations, choice of colours and general lay-out. My opinion of this book may be skewed by the fact I just finished Matt Haig - Reasons to Stay Alive and the Psychopath Test. If you (like me) borrowed the audiobook via a library app, it's likely you didn't have this pdf easily accessible.

There were some parts mentioned which wasn't fully appealing to me since I couldn't relate to those situations. The times when she was trying to be liked by everyone and ended up as someone she really didn’t feel was herself and I thought wow that super confident woman I remember wanting to be like was really just like me! In our busy 2017 lives that are constantly fuelled by Instagram envy, bad Tinder dates and increasingly outrageous politicians, it's nice to go over the basics of simply being happy.

Fearne describes this book as a type of tell all/open up about Fearne book, but it has incredibly little on her or what she experienced or how her low mood affected her.Unfortunately it feels like at least half of the book (including multiple interviews with Ferne's mum, MIND charity and Craig David, all the tips and exercises, and much more) is hidden away in the pdf rather than being included in the audiobook which is really quite disappointing and just makes it feel a bit like the audiobook is a commentary to a separate book rather than the other way around. I don't know if that's completely the right word because smug isn't very nice and this book really is very but almost too nice and happy and you almost wanna shake it and say not everyone is this positive all the time!

You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. They also talk about how we can critique beauty culture while still loving the magic of self-expression and adornment and art.I didn’t hate Fearne (I’m not like that at all) I just didn’t warm to her and as such paid little attention to all the wonderful things she has created. There is absolutely no useful information in this at all just her going on and on and on about being grateful and thankful. I’m think most people would benefit from reading this book especially if sometimes being happy is the hardest thing in the world. No matter how loud those rubbish voices in your heard are right now, these chats might just trigger a tiny mindset or perspective shift that’ll help you feel better able to cope when those shitty voices next pop up.
