About this deal
Re: Using a DI -- I had never thought of that as a tone shaper; only used it as intended to feed a balanced signal to a board. The Joyo JF-13 definitely holds its own in any pedal chain, especially for guitar players with the desire to blend new and old.
Details: Based on the AC-30 tube amplifier that, with a little help from two mop-top multi-instrumentalists, revolutionized the electric guitar sound, the Joyo AC Tone pedal really rocks our age. Level and Drive controls add incredible range, while the 3-band EQ offers even more flexibility when it comes to getting an original sound. It's speaker sim seems to be the most "neutral" to my ears - I don't think you would be disappointed with the American Sound as a replacement for your ACTONE. If you just need a clean and dirty version of an amp, and use mods, delay, and reverb after the "amp", then the FS06 is a great option. Back to the matter at hand - I am gonna play with this thing another day or two, and then I'll post a video for ya'll to peep. The ACTONE has some great tones, but I've found it hard to get any bad tones out of the American Sound unless you do something extreme with the EQ, like pull out all the mids and crank the Treble to max (which you would never do ).
New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging . Just to reiterate, I'm looking to add chime to the clean tone of a Fender CDR via the input, not looking for an OD or a pedal that works best into a power amp.
Once upon a time I never imagined I'd say this, but it's so close to an AC30 and there's such a wide variety of tones available that I don't miss the amp at all. I did keep the Drive at 10 o/c and Volume at 12 o/c though as the PA was too big for the Venue anyway. I did try it at our Club some weeks ago, plugged into our standard back line amp and it was terrible and uncontrollable but its not meant to be used that way so i wasnt surprised really. This is my personal favourite distortion, It gives you that 'toppy' brittle, British amp sound that EL84 valves give you.
