LEGO Lone Ranger Constitution Train Chase

I doubt that we will get a new Western theme (I am still bitter at Lego about the Cuusoo Modular Western Town fiasco) but I think we'll get some sort of Western-based set next year for The Lego Movie. Once again, please avoid spoilers in the comments section for the sake of those who have yet to see the film. The outside has some dynamite attached - combined with the lever sticking out of the roof at you have the nearly-mandatory-for-Lego-sets knock-out wall.

The printed tiles (you get an extra of the stopwatch) are nice and useful, though a real slingshot would be cooler!I certainly hope that the theme will grow in popularity however, if only to inspire LEGO to create a brand new unlicensed Western theme. No problem - just amusing since we discussed this in the Reviewer's Academy and decided train was the best place for it since I reviewed it AS a train set. Naturally, the aforementioned binoculars on the Gatling gun, but perhaps even more interestingly, Sensei Wu's hat from the Ninjago theme is cast in pearl silver and attached to the front of the boiler to add texture to the model which looks fantastic. The boiler is MUCH bigger, but again, I'm impressed that the Constitution doesn't look bad in comparison!

Sadly, there's no driving rods in the set to make it look more realistic, but it'd be easy enough to add. The Minifigures are all extremely desirable, and trains are always popular, particularly when they are as impressive as this model is. I've very fond memories of watching the Lone Ranger as a boy, and although I'm anti-licensing it's a great line.There's an extension with snot brackets that lengthens the boiler, and a tile on the top of the bogey so it can slide.

Two books - the first builds the locomotive and tender, the second builds the other two cars and the accessories. On the other hand, the pair of grey slopes sticking out on the front make great spots to hold it down with a finger or two. The addition of track and a couple of trackside accessories only add to the excellence of the set and make this a real 'must have' model in . Great collection of movie inspired lego mini figures with an authentic replica steam train set provides the backdrop to lots of imaginative interactive play.

Judging by the trailer, I can't help noticing that the 'Lone' Ranger isn't actually 'alone' for most of the film. The chase is on to save Rebecca and Danny from Butch Cavendish and his gang of henchmen onboard the speeding train, Constitution! I'm not a train builder by any means, and have no clue about how all that needs to be rigged up to run.
