No, I wanted to try and keep spending low and eat amazing food while I was away, so when I saw Nosh For Students at my local Waterstones, I had to give it a try. We wanted to make this app free for everyone, so there are no cooking instructions, just the ingredients. Since then she has forged ahead with writing four titles for the genre the latest of which is NOSH Everyday Gluten-Free.Since then, Joy has helped over 250,000 students get cooking with her straightforward and simple approach. As our products are fresh and perishable the defective items must be tested by Nosh Detox and deemed defective before a replacement can be shipped out.
The Nosh student cookbook concept: meals that can be made quickly, cheaply, and easily and with very little equipment and a few common ingredients but ones which give the meal a lot of flavour (to make up for the fast cooking time, which can cause food to be bland). Personally, I love chorizo, but to be honest, this recipe might just be too expensive for the average student.
Am not sure about all the negative things said about this seller by other people,,, because my experience was completely different, totally positive. When I moved away from my comforting home in Cornwall to a ‘big city’, the thought of living off baked beans and frozen pizza was a shock that I stubbornly decided not to give into. Family food isn’t generally the most visually appealing so I think more styling and props would have helped.
Bypassing conventional publishers, the May family decided to go it alone producing Nosh for Students 10 years ago when Ben was away at university learning to cook and fend for himself. Items purchased directly from Nosh Detox or an authorised reseller cannot be exchanged as they are fresh products with a very short shelf life. I was a bit surprised that the book uses mugs to measure, being a slave to the scales myself – but they clearly show the size in a picture and give you the measurement – half a pint. There are tons of recipes, all of them healthy and easy to make, with complete ingredient lists and even colour photos of each dish in the book. However, quite a lot of recipes involved using processed foods such as sausages which makes me a bit concerned.
