About this deal

Fortunately, The Ballad of Darren, the band's first new album since 2015, is a giddy blast from the past - and reportedly one recorded in a much more cooperative and good-humoured atmosphere than expected. Fans will immediately feel at home, with tracks such as 'St Charles Square' and 'The Narcissist' offering that now familiar mix of weary vocals, squally guitars, low-slung bass and shuffling drums. The success of 'Song 2' led to 'Blur' becoming the band's most successful album in the US where the Britpop scene had been largely unsuccessful. blur’s classic second album Modern Life Is Rubbish turned 30 this year and to celebrate this occasion, Parlophone are releasing a limited, coloured vinyl edition, for National Album Day in October. Review: It's funny to think about the Blur v Oasis contest that defined British music in the mid-1990s.

The newer copy I got just now is worse than the first one because it has mild surface noise and the record is warped.I am sure I am not the only other person who has wondered this so thought id get a discussion going as it would be a shame if we don't get to see this again on a vinyl format. This artwork, which we all thought was rather good even at the time, was splashed all over London and the LP won Best Album at The Brit Awards in 2003. Similar to Blur - Blur but this copy DOES mention Warner Music Company on the back cover and label copyright/publishing credits.

The Ballad of Darren is the band's ninth studio album, their first since the chart-topping The Magic Whip in 2015, with artwork featuring an image by British photographer Martin Parr.

Witty, ironic and irreverent, Parklife remains one of those rare albums that sum up a specific place and time (Britain in the mid-1990s). Blu-ray audio disc on Parlophone, featuring the 10-track album mixed in Dolby Atmos by David Wrench and accompanied by a hi-res stereo mix.

Blur's eponymous fifth album has now been remastered from the original tapes by Frank Arkwright, with the remastering overseen by legendary producer, Stephen Street.Review: Blur were always the posh, private school answer to the more streetwise cool of Oasis during the heyday of Brit pop during the mid to late 90s. Side 1 of the first record is crazy, been air guitaring all over my home since breaking the seal on this thing. uno dei capolavori dei Blur, che si allontanano dal brit pop dei dischi precedenti, the great escape, Parklife e prima ancora Modern Life. Accompanying their 2023 comeback tour, reactivated Britpop titans Blur announce their ninth studio album ‘The Ballad Of Darren’, also their first new music in eight years. Back in February 2022, three months before this record's release, he told NME "I'm quite happy with the formula.
