About this deal

She is raped, gas lighted, blackmailed and more still she’s trying to be who she really is but is being bullied at every turn by those that believe they know best. While their unusual courtship sees a whole lot of problems the manage to keep on being involved with each other via work and become friends and later confirm their feelings for each other. BUT that does NOT mean that i'm going to NOT collect the gorgeous special edition print versions hehe.

Smythe adapts the story of Persephone and Hades, removing it from its dark origins and building a brand-new epic with her own complex and beautiful characters. With vivid, irresistible art and storytelling that would make even the Muses swoon, this modern myth deftly tackles the darkness of the ancient stories while never losing its brilliant light. Like as soon as i'm done writing this lil' pre-review I will most definitely be on WEBTOON THNKSVRYMCH . This is a big soap opera and does deal with some rather dark issues, such as the depiction of Apollo as quite the stalkery creep who gets violent when told no. So, taking that in mind: what on earth does Hades think he’s doing getting together with Minthe again?

Lore Olympus is an addictive, romantic gem of a comic, filled with complex, lovable (and hateable) characters. She dreams of more and wants to experience the worlds but her mother keeps her away from all men and as such Persephone is depressed. Rachel Smythe's artwork is vivid and enchanting, with deeply relatable characters and a deft handling of their dark pasts.

He refuses to use her or abuse his position to have her for himself and she refuses to believe he could ever see her as more then a friend. Debuting on Webtoon Originals in 2018, Lore Olympus captured hearts and minds with its glamorous setting, razor-sharp comedic timing, complex characters in messy relationships, and above all else, its breathtakingly beautiful visuals. Persephone and Hades must contend with fresh challenges to their burgeoning love in the fresh and funny second volume of the WEBTOON sensation which reimagines one of the most popular Greek myths in a vibrant contemporary setting. She deals with rumors about her floating around, and a major story arc is a tabloid paper accusing her of sleeping her way into the Royal Family, so theres a lot of drama to be had here.It deals with lots of issues such as rape, manipulation, abuse, dysfunctional relationships, mental health and more. This dazzling interpretation of the classic Greek myths is as charming as it is provocative, and as witty as it is startlingly romantic. Lore Olympus is an amazing story it is a WEBTOON series that due to the love of so many has now been put into book form. Jan ‘22) Read on WEBTOON, but you best believe I’m going to re-read it a million times when the physical copy releases. Hades will never leave her he’s protective of her innocence and with reason as others wish to use her as a pawn.

It’s the telling of how Persephone was taken by Hades reimagined so a whole new perspective in things that shows their relationship from the moment Hades sees her. I pretty much have them all mapped out in my head, things like who is heading directly towards my 'I'll just pretend you don't exist' list and 'you have my full interest' list. As I said in the beginning this is for mature readers and it’s one of my favorites if you need more go checkout the WEBTOON that began it all.

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER - Witness what the gods do after dark in the second volume of a stylish and contemporary reimagining of one of the best-known stories in Greek mythology, featuring a brand-new, exclusive short story from creator Rachel Smythe.
