About this deal

The HyperX provides a better typing experience, but its linear switches don't give tactile feedback, which the SteelSeries Brown switches do. The Razer only has white backlighting, does not have an included wrist rest, and its companion software is only compatible with Windows. We would say they definitely beat out companies such as Razer or Corsair, who are definitely guilty of not-so-good products.

It comes with a detachable wrist rest and has dedicated media keys, a volume wheel, and a USB passthrough. Please note that the product images used are for illustrative purposes only and may differ slightly from the actual product. It also has full N-Key rollover and can take full effective advantage of its 1000Hz polling rate without bottlenecking from other latency components. Building something special and disruptive takes time, so we're hyped to have such an awesome and supportive community along with us for the ride! The SteelSeries is a TenKeyLess keyboard with significantly better latency, an attached wrist rest, and several extra features, including an OLED screen, a volume wheel, and a USB passthrough.Unfortunately, this wrist rest is a dust magnet, but the overall build feels durable and shouldn't cause any issues with long-term use. You can save up to five different profiles onboard, and there's a cloud sync feature that allows you to carry your settings over to another computer, though this feature requires an account.

The SteelSeries Apex 7 TKL and the Logitech G715 are both TenKeyLess gaming keyboards, but the Logitech is better-suited for gaming as its switches have a shorter pre-travel distance and its latency is significantly lower. We're attracting top gaming brands from around the world and bringing fresh new gaming gear to the UK, with a mission to make it accessible to everyone nationwide. The Apex 3 ranked last on the list because there is really nothing special about it except for the standard features on all of the SteelSeries keyboards. I actually prefer ABS keys as they don't produce the deep 'thud' sound that PBT keys do, but admittedly I hate the way they look after a week. net is owned by Gamer Network Limited, a ReedPop company and subsidiary of Reed Exhibitions Limited.

The power cable is very thick and difficult to route, it would have been way better if they went for the detachable USB-C cable route instead. We've also added a new Switches test box, added additional test comparisons to our Hardware Customizability test box that we introduced with our last Test Bench. The Omnipoint switches may give you a slight improvement (<1%) in gaming after you’ve had a lot of time to get used to them. Ghosting’ is when a keyboard is unable to register more than one keystroke at once which is a common problem in standard setups that only offer 1 or 2 Key Rollover. We've added new tests for Single Key Latency, Multi Key Latency, Data Transmission, and Chord Split.
