After this point, all three perfumes settle in for the long haul and are supported by their strongest base notes.I haven't mentioned the oud note up until this point, and my reason for this is fairly simple - I just don't think it's hugely prominent in comparison to other oud fragrances I've smelt. The brief was, no doubt, to keep the things that people liked about the brand (high end perfumes and a sense of British tradition), but ditch the stuffiness. After dried fruit and spice settles in, I am getting more of cedar and almost oak moss and paper notes (they aren't listed, but that's what I am getting), somehow reminding me of Guerlain Bois d'Armenie *in a way* (these are two very different fragrances, don't get me wrong). The original Halfeti, with its outdoors feel is still very good, but I do wish they'd amped up the rose in middle myself - as a scent, it comes across a touch dry on my skin, and it does feel like it would benefit from a stronger floral to fill it out (perhaps a Halfeti Rose flanker will appear!

The peach resembles the daytime of a hustle and bustle city, the saffron and rum remind me of the jazzy and funky nightlife of melbourne, And the woodiness of the fragrance reminds me of the business men and bankers of melbourne. Most of the time (if not all) the variation of the original are just flops to me, but in "Cedar's" case. I thought it'd also be a good opportunity to revisit the original Halfeti and its first flanker, Halfeti Leather at the same time though, so let us begin.The mineral notes add a cool touch to the fragrance, creating a balance between warmth and freshness. Very quickly solved by sending me a replacement with extra packaging which arrived a few days later in perfect condition.
