We opened up AmpliTube, registered our device within the app, and off we were, greeted with the sweet tone of a crunchy guitar amp pumping through our headphones. Here are a few other ways you can set things up, using either the 1/8" headphone jack or the 1/4" amp out jack. it is a comprehensive tool for boosting your creativity and the quality of your audio content with all the convenience of a handheld form factor. Moreover, it's just a lot of work to haul my entire swath of guitar gear up into the living room for what amounts to 20 minutes of practice.
Once I had everything plugged in and was able to play (I tested headphones first, then the iLoud Micro Monitors) the tone I got out of the system was absolutely phenomenal. Prior to doing this review we were more familiar with Guitar Rig by Native Instruments, but it only took us a few minutes to get accustomed to AmpliTube’s intuitive interface. With AmpliTube 5 SE's default amp, I used the clean channel and, at times, a little reverb or chorus layering. and Amplitube All In One has all the killer noise suppressors and noise gates used by many famous player, like I wrote the Irig Hd 2 already makes for a super low noise interface, and if you need to kill any residual noise on ultra gain settings, any of the noise gates on offer will work very easily, I just plugged the Slash noise gate in Amplitube and worked immediately, very easily. If you’re just using the interface to loop in your Amplitube software, can you confirm that both the software and your amp are on a clean, low-gain channel/setting? When we say, “a higher level,” we mean you simply won’t find better with this many features and this much value. Quick and easy-access living room practice, that stays at minimal noise levels, is an ideal way to use the iRig HD 2. It comes with a microphone stand mount and Velcro strip that allow you to easy attach it for performance alongside other convenient tools like IK's iKlip range of mic supports for all sizes of smartphones and tablets.Just connect it to my iPhone, shoot a video like normal and it records both the backing track and the drums. The time from unboxing the iRig HD 2 to playing was short; probably less than five minutes if I hadn't been taking my time and wading through packaging.
