In the final dry down a lovely antique rose (don't be afraid of the rose, its not prominent) with a touch of pepper joins the chorus to complete this stunner in a truly balanced finish. It is neck and neck with TKN4 for sharpness and intrusiveness, but Sunset Riot probably wins that battle due to the lack of a citrus or other note to give it more sweetness/pleasure in the mix. First of all: I own and love Baccarat Rouge 540 EdP, so I was all the more excited about Sunset Riot. This opens up with a more fresh blast and stays a while and the sweetness stays behind the whole time throughout its life. It adds a bit of refinement to a very sweet fragrance, makes it a bit more grown up but still kind of punk.

I have AllSaints Flora Mortis, which I also love, but it is low on both longevity and projection, so I was surprised to keep catching this candy, slightly limonene scent wafting around me. It smell's like a combination of BK540, a dash of Parfums de Marly Herod, and a pinch of Parfums de Marly Layton. Maybe a shorter, more delicate woman, who also likes sunsets and riots would be a better fit for it? Either I’ve got a dodgy bottle or everyone else has a fake BR540 because I smell no resemblance whatsoever.
