Dianna is a smart and sassy, fierce and strong female MC who is also a VILLIAN, the most feared creature and a dangerous weapon. I highly recommend, especially if you are a fan of rich worldbuilding, romantasy, enemies-to-lovers, strong FMCs, and morally gray heroes. I loved where these two ended up together emotionally it really shouldn’t have worked, them being at first glance so different but it just did. You get fantastic flirty banter and fighting, but also some real emotions and deep feelings between them. He does the best male and female voices for all different types if characters and he brings them all to life in such an amusing and captivating way.

But she is not all lost, a little humanity is there inside her because of her sister, Gaby, for whom Dianna lives. This book is remarkable and has a mix of fantasy and so many real-life problems which were beautifully represented.liam barely understands modern language since he isolated himself, so the exchanges between them both was fun to read! ON TO THE SECOND BOOK SO I CAN GET MY HEART BROKEN (please Amber Nicole do not break my heart I need them to be happy and I need their world to be happy). Their relationship builds in a really natural and slow-burn type of way, and the enemies-to-lovers storyline was done so well. The characters are memorable, and one, in particular, has an attitude that reminds me of Aelin from Throne of Glass! Moreover, I really like the tension between Dianna and Liam, especially the banter at the beginning.

The pacing was a bit slow at times, but that´s okay, I´ll let that slide for the exciting parts, the plot twists and the angst. Come down the travelators, exit Sainsbury's, turn right and follow the pedestrianised walkway to Crown Walk and turn right - and Coles will be right in front of you. Part of that is simply that I wanted more Samkiel/Dianna spice because they're so good together and I just want these babies to be HAPPY FOR ONCE. She is also cunning, funny, passionate and soo damn strong 😍😍😍😍 You can tell how much I love her, right?There is a male main character who is dealing with PTSD and depression, and a sassy but still likable female main character who is actually pretty caring. When Liam and Dianna meet, the two must question their loyalties, their prejudices, and their ideas of who the bad guys really are. I loved her constant swearing and playful flirting mixed with Liam´s non-swearing, trying to be a gentleman attitude; although he also can get a bit cocky and arrogant as well at times. Dianna is a “villain”, she is such a great FMC, I adore her, she’s sassy and badass but her development and backstory are beautifully written. When one of his soldiers dies unexpectedly, he is ripped back into the land of the living and forced to confront his worse nightmare - the beings he fought centuries ago are coming back, and they're more powerful than ever.

I really won't lie when I said that due to the content of this book, I was not expecting it to be as good as it was!I adored the way she protects the ones she loves, her wonderful sense of humor, and the way she never holds back (even if it’s constantly getting her into trouble! It sets up the next book beautifully though, so I guess I’m okay with having my heart ripped from my chest?
