About this deal

Standard open packaging is standard for Fierce Force figures, except for the Dilophosaurus, which must accommodate that goofy frill of hers. At 10 inches long with the neck fully extended, I feel that this Tanystropheus has a good size for a 1:18 scale figure.

Also, the position of the tail when the capture gear is in use seems very awkward for the creature, and makes it look damn silly. In several young specimens, three-cusped cheek teeth are present in the jaw, which might indicate an insectivorous diet; however, similar teeth patterns have been found in Eudimorphodon and Langobardisaurus , both of whom are considered piscivores.

In this case the huge teeth are a bit out of place, since constricting snakes don't have such teeth, those would only get in the way; therefore it's also odd this animal is nicknamed 'Cobra', since Cobras don't constrict their prey, they use venom instead.

Still, Kenner released it (the same thing cannot be said for equally unknown creatures like Ornithosuchus and Scutosaurus which were sadly denied a release back in 1994), and thank heaven they did, because this is one of the most interesting and coolest figures of the Series 2 line.

They had already done genera such as Scutosaurus and Postosuchus, along with numerous other non-dinosaur figures. These dinosaurs have movable joints for pose and play battle fun, and each has a single strike feature demonstrating the species' greatest strength. We're trying to build the largest, most informative, and simplest to use action figure gallery on the planet for every person out there to enjoy. Tanystropheus is most often considered to have been piscivorous (or 'fish-eating'), due to the presence of a long, narrow snout sporting sharp interlocking teeth.

The forelimbs can rotate around and swing in-and-out while the hindlimbs can rotate around and pivot out slightly. These Fierce Force™ dinosaur action figures have a single strike feature demonstrating each species' greatest strength.Fierce Force figures are different from their similarly sized counterparts (Wild Packs in this case) in that they have action features. The biggest Tanystropheus specimen measured up to six meters in length, but I grew up with books telling me they were three meters long. Whether you want to know how many figures are in a series or the name of a certain figure or even if you just want to stare awestruck at all the pretty colors, galleries help everyone. Realism: this Tanystropheus figure is surprisingly accurate (though Tany wasn't seen in any of the JP movies). It’s the perfect gift for kids ages 4 and up, especially Jurassic World fans and those who love dinosaurs and action play.

A large Styracosaurus would have been an impressive toy, like all the other large Mattel ceratopsians. The jaws can open wide, and this is another departure from previous articulated Tanystropheus figures, and I personally think it is an improvement.

Tanystropheus' body is much bigger, and can take on larger prey, but is still vulnerable (though not as much as the Coelophysis figures).
