Each page includes Bible references for checking or studying the original text and there are helpful maps and character profiles included at the back of the book. It’s an interesting choice to go with names in their more historical pronunciation and spelling than the Romanized modern versions. Though initially written in Japanese, the English edition was published first, premiering in the United Kingdom and the Philippines in 2006. Very moving and inspirational with art that is simple yet effective in helping to convey the message of Jesus.

It's a pretty accurate and faithful account of the combined narrative of the four Gospels which record for us the coming of and the mission of Jesus. I am really pleased to see God’s people using their skills and gifts to be missional to their culture. This depiction uses genuine Japanese manga style, unlike other Christian “manga” books in the marketplace. At least they tried, but most of the Christian Manga out there is focused on the bible, or martyrs of the faith. Manga Messengers (2011) addresses events starting with the reign of King Solomon and takes stories from several of the major and minor prophets, and the Book of Esther and concludes with anticipation of a messiah. They also both criticized the book's occasional odd phrasing when key dialog was rewritten using modern English.

When not conquering distant world's via console, he can be found reading, watching anime or Netflix, writing, or just enjoying life as a geek in the city of Miami. That was supposed to be funny but in the Roman Catholic church they put a serious meaning to it and even made a very a very sad song that they sing during the Lenten season.
