The Microsoft Surface Pro 9 isn't a bad or worthless machine. It's powerful enough to handle everyday computing tasks, has a decent screen for watching videos and is lightweight enough to comfortably take wherever you go. It may not redefine the 2-in-1, but if you want something that's suitable as a laptop or tablet, this machine gets the job done. So, with this, we conclude our list of the best tablet arms! But were you able to find the option that best meets your requirements? Well, we understand that making a choice may still not be as simple as it sounds. Battery life is also very good in day-to-day usage. Our battery test ran for 9 hours and 24 minutes before the device shut itself off, which was at around 5% battery life remaining. 9 hours on the test is great, beating the likes of the Dell XPS 13 OLED, Surface Pro 9, and others. You can write on the touchscreen of the Xiaomi Book S with the Xiaomi Smart Pen. That’s an active stylus that you’ve got to buy separately for around 100 Dollars. However, it might be that you own it already because it’s the same pen that also works with the Xiaomi Pad 5 Android tablet. That’s very handy in case you own both. In real world usage, it gets much longer battery life. Because Windows on ARM is so energy efficient, when the device is put to sleep it simply sips on power. So, you can spend longer away from the charger, excellent if you've got a long 8-hour workday that doesn't require you to constantly be on your device.

With that being said, I can imagine that the Xiaomi Book S can be an interesting choice for some. For instance, if you mainly want an Office tablet and don’t want to use traditional Windows apps but love the Windows desktop interface. Windows 11 in S Mode on an ARM chip is still better than the Samsung DeX desktop mode, in my opinion. And it is cheaper than the Surface Pro 8. Speaking of Bluetooth, the keyboard cover can also connect to the tablet via Bluetooth for use when detached from the device. This is a lovely addition that I didn’t think was necessary until I actually used it. Now I find myself using it all the time, detaching the tablet and placing it in front of me on the couch, while keeping the keyboard on my lap. It’s sometimes more comfortable! Since this is an ARM processor, I wasn’t able to run all benchmarks but some were possible. In Geekbench 5, the performance is better than the first generation of the Microsoft Surface Pro X. However, the Surface Pro 8 is much faster than the Xiaomi. And you get even more performance with the iPad Pro and remember that the Apple M1 is an ARM chipset too. When it comes to accessories like tablet arms, we all expect comfort and convenience! Hence, each unit is ergonomically designed to hold and elevate your device to a suitable position and height. This, in turn, ensures a comfortable hands-free experience while drawing or working. There are a coupleadditional limitations you should know about ARM-based devices like the Surface Pro X beyond their inability to run 64-bit (x64) apps. Games won't run on the Surface Pro X if they use OpenGL greater than 1.1 or if they rely on "anti-cheat" drivers not made for ARM. Also, some third-party antivirus software can't be installed. This stand doesn’t raise the tablet very high off the desk, but you could adjust for that by putting it on top of a box or book, although that’s not ideal as it will reduce its stability. Of course, the 11-inch iPad Pro 2021 still thrives at the little things. Its bright and colorful display is sharp, its four speakers provide much larger sound than you might expect from such a thin device and. And if you're willing to pony up the cash its amazing (optional) Magic Keyboard offers the simplest and smoothest tablet typing experience there is. Having said that, the availability of a wide range of options can make the selection process quite challenging. So, what should you do? First things first, breathe a sigh of relief! The Surface Go is the successor to 2018's Surface Go and features a 10.5-inch high-quality display in the same magnesium chassis you know and love.

Benchmarks show that the Robo & Kala fits in exactly where you'd expect it to with other Windows on ARM devices of its calibre, but that means it's not going to outpace any Intel devices with a recent Intel Core i5 or above. If the apps you use aren't 64-bit only, then you shouldn't rule out the Surface Pro X. The tablet's SQ1 chip gives it built-in LTE connectivity and should enable long battery life. We'll have to wait for a review unit to see how Microsoft's performance claims hold up. If it can go toe-to-toe with Intel's latest 10th Gen CPUs, then the Surface Pro X might be the best Windows tablet for most people. If it can't, then it doesn't really matter which apps the Surface Pro X can run if it doesn't have the performance to do so in the first place. Moving onto the cameras, we have a rear 13MP shooter with support for auto-focus and can shoot video in 4K. It looks great and is more than enough for filming meetings or lectures. The front facing camera is a less good 5MP shooter with 1080p video capabilities. It's fine, but it's not winning any rewards. Unlike some of the stands that can wobble when you are controlling the screen with a hand, the Lamicall Tablet Stand is sturdy and rigid, although you can move it around the desk with ease. I certainly cannot recommend it as a gaming tablet. It makes no sense to get an ARM-Windows device to play games with. Many cannot be installed but some are possible. I played a bit of Asphalt 9 and that runs well with medium graphics. But it’s not enjoyable at high graphics settings.

Oh, and it's not just a notebook. Your documents sync to the cloud so you can read them on iPhones, iPads, PCs, Macs and Android. The reMarkable 2 also translates your handwriting to editable text, so you can share your notes with your whole team, or turn your draft ideas into a manuscript. And its two weeks of battery life means you can just leave it on your coffee table, for when inspiration strikes, rather than keep it plugged in all the time.

So, should you get the Xiaomi Book S 12.4? Probably not. Don’t get me wrong, I like the Book S. It’s a cool tablet with good built quality, a pretty screen, a solid pen, and features like facial recognition. The keyboard cover is not perfect but fine too and I enjoyed working with it. The stylus is not perfect, however. Since we get a 60Hz screen only, it sometimes looks like the writing is lagging behind the pen a bit. Especially once you compare it to a 120Hz tablet like the Surface Pro 8 or iPad Pro. But that’s always the case with 60Hz displays. Hardware & Performance For notetaking, the B3 includes a stylus with a built-in charging holder inside the table. The charging rate of the pen is impressive, with Asus promising up to 45 minutes of use if you leave the pen to charge inside the tablet for just 15 seconds. The Wacom Flex Arm is designed to be better than any other display arm on the list. That being said, it allows you to mount your Cintiq Pro on your desk without facing any challenges. In fact, thanks to its reach of 30 inches, it can also be used as a free-floating monitor. Impressive, right? Do you want an ARM processor because of its longer battery life? Well, my battery test shows that the runtime is not amazing. And if you don’t even need Windows, then why not get an iPad or Android tablet?
