About this deal

You can safely bail the lift with spotter arms to prevent yourself from getting hurt or even dying (trust me, I’ve known of people who died benching.) Another perk for this awesome item is that you can STILL use a spotter partner take you to failure and beyond, and all he or she needs to do is lift on the hooks themselves without having to grope with the bells or yank on your wrists to try helping you with a few forced reps. Overall, I LOVE the design of the Mad Spotter PRO Dumbbell Hooks. The fact that I can use their Hooks without needing to use the provided velcro wraps is a huge bonus.

Stop wasting energy and damaging shoulders and focus entirely on dumbbell shoulder and chest presses with Body-Solid Tools Dumbbell Spotter Hooks. Why do the handle wraps not fit around a standard dumbbell handle? I find that the handle wraps are far too short and so I don't use them. I've spoken to another person about this and they have the same issue. However, personally I don't think you need the handle wraps to use the hooks so I don't bother." ~ Strength Oldschool I'd be interested to hear what other lifters think of the various products mentioned within this article. If you wish to make any comments or ask a question please visit the links below:Instead of having just two hooks at the bottom, they’ve added a knurled cradle for the dumbbell handle to sit on. Mad Spotter have completely altered the design of the bottom end, for the better, in my opinion, and got rid of the attached thin metal base on the Bodymax Hook and instead added a solid, chunkier bottom section which resembles "half" of a Dumbbell / Barbell Handle. With the addition of Knurling, Mad Spotter Hooks therefore feel much more comfortable and secure to use, compared to the Bodymax Hooks. As previously mentioned, Mad Spotter currently offers two versions of these hooks (a standard and a pro model). While both ultimately perform the same function, there are some distinct differences between the two. Mad Spotter Hooks Review If the length of the dumbbell holders were designed to be slightly longer, this would mean my hand spacing would be much closer creating a stronger field of support for handling heavier loads. This may be different for other lifters of various sizes but for my body frame, the dumbbell holders definitely need to be made longer.

Whether you train at a commercial or home gym, if you train by yourself and wish to strictly focus on the "pressing" part of lifts without using up your energy to lift heavy weights from the floor, then my suggestion is to first try out Dumbbell Hooks as they are simple to use and relatively very cheap to buy ( depending on the brand of course). This solution will work great for people of all age groups. Our hooks are compatible with 99% of dumbbells in the market. If you want to make sure, measure the handle length and handle diameter of your dumbbells. Handle length should be 4.5" (114 mm) or more, and handle diameter should be 1.25" (32 mm) or less." ~ Mad Spotter This way all your energy goes into the exercise, none is wasted on the set up. Mad Spotter Pro Hooks The sleeve increases the diameter of the handle and it’s not completely mandatory but makes it more comfortable. I believe the "Bodymax" dumbbell hooks can support weights up to 50 kg (110 lbs), whereas "Mad Spotter" claim their dumbbell hooks can support up to 80 kg (176 lbs) dumbbells, a significant difference.
