A driver’s daily logbook is where each driver keeps the record of their driving hours. This is not only a safety measure but a federal law. In fact, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) expects drivers to keep up-to-date logs.

The one thing we haven’t talked about yet is making changes to the car. If you change any of these things, the log book definitely needs to be updated: Not maintaining an accurate log can result in severe consequences like the driver’s license getting suspended or other penalties. After your shift, you should come up with a tally of how much time you had spent on all the different activities. When you need a vehicle log book

With effect from 20 August 2020, the following changes were made to the retained Regulation (EC) 561/2006 (EU drivers’ hours rules) and retained Regulation (EU) 165/2014 (tachograph rules) [footnote 1].
