That is what makes our ghee such an outstanding natural product. We take small batches of our pure butter which is then slowly melted and brought to the boil to eliminate all moisture. Once the moisture has evaporated, the butter is then slowly simmered for up to 6 – 8 hours until all of the milk solids have caramelised. This caramelisation is what gives our ghee its sweet nutty aroma and rich taste. The ghee is then filtered and decanted by hand into jars. Our ghee is revered by many of our customers as being the most authentic natural tasting ghee they have used. People with digestive issues may find that Ghee can aid in the absorption of nutrients and be beneficial for those with digestive problems. All the wonderful flavors of butter, but with the shelf life and smoke point of cooking oils. Gluten-free, dairy-free, full of healthy fats, and perfect for diets such as Paleo, Keto, and Whole30. Baking: When substituting ghee for butter or oil in baking recipes, use a 1:1 ratio. For example, if a recipe calls for 1/2 cup of butter, you can use 1/2 cup of ghee instead.

Some people believe that curd-churned ghee has a distinct flavor and aroma due to the initial step of churning the curd into butter. This extra step can add complexity to the ghee’s taste.

For individuals with a casein allergy, the reaction may include swelling of lips, mouth, tongue, face or throat; hives; or congestion.Ghee contains a higher concentration of fat than butter. Gram for gram, it provides slightly more short-chain saturated fats. Ghee has been used for centuries in traditional medicine and culinary practices, particularly in Indian culture. It offers several potential benefits when consumed in moderation as part of a balanced diet. However, it’s essential to remember that individual responses to ghee can vary, and it’s best to consult with a healthcare professional or registered dietitian if you have specific health concerns. Here are some potential benefits of using ghee: Rich in Nutrients: Adding a few servings of ghee into your day is an excellent way to squeeze in some extra fat-soluble vitamins. It can help boost your intake of vitamin A, vitamin E and vitamin K, all important nutrients that play a role in everything from maintaining healthy vision to keeping your skin glowing.

In Sauces and Dressings: Incorporate ghee into Mediterranean-inspired sauces and salad dressings for a unique flavor profile. Ghee is easy to love. It’s unbelievably delicious, like ultra-rich French butter ( aka the good stuff), that's been gently caramelized and transformed into a smooth spread. It's also shelf-stable and has a generously high smoke-point, making it pretty much the ideal cooking oil. And the distinctly flavored fat has deep roots in well-established Ayurvedic practices. Bursting with flavor. Ghee tastes like a more flavorful butter. By straining and simmering out the imperfections, ghee’s flavor is satisfyingly intensified. Due to its strong flavor, you will be able to use less of this product than you would with butter or oil. Ghee is made by heating butter to remove the milk solids and water. However, it is heated longer than clarified butter to bring out the butter’s inherent nutty flavor. The majority of ghee available in the market is made from regular unsalted butter, not necessarily churned from curd. This is the most common type of ghee found in grocery stores and used in various cuisines. Even the container in which you store the ghee plays an important role in extending its life cycle. So, if you use ghee every day, store it in a steel container. A plastic container is good for deep freezing it, and a glass container is counted better for preserving a large quantity of ghee.Additionally, some studies have suggested that butyrate may provide relief from constipation.
