No. There are no sun filters in St.Tropez products so it’s very important that you still use a sun protection product with sufficient levels of SPF when exposing your skin to the sun. For optimum results using our Self Tan products, we advise avoiding showering, swimming, sweating for 4—8 hours (ideally 8hrs) to allow your Self Tan to develop on the skin, with the exception of Self Tan Express and Extra Dark where you can rinse off after 1-3 hours and 4 hours respectively, depending on your desired depth of tan Yes, you can even use the St.Tropez face mist to tan your hands! It works beautifully, providing an even coverage effortlessly. Everyone’s skin naturally exfoliates at a different rate, but depending on the product you use, your tan will last anything between 4—10 days, with good preparation and maintenance this could be considerably longer. To ensure your tan looks great for as long as possible use St.Tropez Tan Remover Mousse to remove all your dead skin cells, old tan and to rebalance your skin prior to application. Gradual Tan can be applied daily or every other day to build greater depth of colour, but it will not develop as dark as a Self Tan product. A tan can help to reduce the appearance of stretch marks and scars. Apply a St.Tropez Self Tan product to the area with a cotton bud. Leave for at least 8 hours and then wash away the guide colour, then apply your all-over tan as normal. If the tan is not dark enough, repeat approximately every 8 hours until satisfied.

A one-off application range that contains innovative Melanin Technology to ensure your tan tailors to your individual skin tone. The tanning agent (Vegetan Premium) targets more of the brown pigments in the skin for a darker, but natural tan taking you a few shades darker than the Self Tan Classic range The mist is super fine — it didn't leave my face feeling wet and I didn't feel the need to blend anything with my hands. It has an intensely fruity, tropical scent that I wasn't crazy about, but it did fade with time. I just wish St. Tropez would tone the scent down a notch. Our Self Tan Purity Bronzing Waters, Instant Tan or Gradual Tan products do not need to be washed off, excluding our Shower collection. For Gradual Tan In Shower Lotion we recommend rinsing off after 3 minutes and for Gradual Tan One Minute Pre-Shower Tanning Mousse just 1 minute Whilst there is nothing in the products that would be harmful to children, we don’t promote self tan products to children. For our professional spray tans we have clear safety guidelines that our St.Tropez approved salons are trained to follow: we would not advise children have a spray tan but if parental permission has been given, then a parent/guardian must be present during the tan.
