About this deal

The 23rd story is called The Impossible Flight of Ash Angels, by Marieke Nijkamp. Arvel Crynyd is an A-Wing pilot known as "Green Leader" during the Battle of Endor. Escape from Darth Vader · Death Star Battle · Trapped in the Death Star! · Trouble on Tatooine · From a Certain Point of View The release of this collection at this point means that we have hindsight from a few different shows. The EV-9D9 story includes R5-D4 on his way to where he ends up in The Mandalorian. The Bib Fortuna story definitely feels like it feeds into what we find out about him in The Mandalorian season 2 finale. The sarlacc story takes details of The Book of Boba Fett into account, and is a rather fun story even if it doesn't make complete sense. The sarlacc is revealed to be vegetarian (this particular one, not all) and doesn't like being force-fed flesh. Apparently Tatooine used to be tropical, and there's also a nice philosophical convo with Threepio. It's an entertaining listen especially because Jonathan Davis reads it in a voice similar to that of Snake from The Simpsons. And in the Obi-Wan story, as he's talking to Luke on Dagobah, he remembers the duel with Vader and the interactions with Leia from the Obi-Wan Kenobi TV show. This expansive anthology delivers 40 stories following lesser-known characters set during the events of Return of the Jedi. From gangsters beyond the Dune Sea, workplace drama on the Empire’s secret battle station, Apex predators on the sanctuary moon, and the hope of the Alliance fleet.

These are the last 10 thoughts of Emperor Palpatine and how he reflects on how Luke is “a Jedi, like his father before him,” except not. In "Time of Death", Obi-Wan foresees Han's death as he falls from the walkway in Starkiller Base and Leia's grief, as well as Luke's self-imposed exile on Ahch-To. From a Certain Point of View is a collection of 40 stories written by 43 authors. [5] The stories, their authors, and their main characters are as follows:

On May 25, 1977, the world was introduced to Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, C-3PO, R2-D2, Chewbacca, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Vader, and a galaxy full of possibilities. In honor of the fortieth anniversary , more than forty contributors lend their vision to this retelling of Star Wars. Each of the forty short stories reimagines a moment from the original film, but through the eyes of a supporting character. From a Certain Point of View features contributions by bestselling authors, trendsetting artists, and treasured voices from the literary history of Star Wars: Duty Roster", by Jason Fry ( Servants of the Empire, Last Call at the Zero Angle, The Levers of Power): Taking place from the perspective of Col "Fake Wedge" Takbright.

Reprints: Illustrated Version · Super Special 27 · Annual 1983 (UK) · Classic: 1, 2, TPB, The Special Edition the veteran: 4.5/5. dex i love you. high republic AND padawan novel mentions gay people stay winning. The 11th story is called My Mouth Never Closes, by Charlie Jane Anders. I've already brought up the Sarlacc plenty of times in this review. But this story is told from its' perspective. And like how The Plan made me sympathetic towards the Rancor and its' trainer, this story, made me feel the same way about the Sarlacc. I love the title. And while getting the sarlacc’s POV is interesting (like that it is one of the few of its species that doesn’t like me), a few things rubbed me wrong, didn’t feel right. Tatooine was a jungle? The Adventures of Luke Skywalker, Jedi Knight · In Pictures: The Original Trilogy · Movie Theater Storybook · The Original Trilogy Stories Ambiguous Gender: "Rites" avoids quite a few details, including gendered pronouns, for A'Yark, which according to the author in a separate post was to prevent spoilers for the novel the character originated from. The Max Rebo-starring “Fancy Man” story by Phil Szostak is downright hilarious, and Saladin Ahmed’s tale about the rancor’s caretaker is surprisingly sad. Tara Sim’s Boba Fett story sees the infamous bounty hunter reflect on all the things that happened to him during the War of the Bounty Hunters comic series. All of the stories featuring Rebel pilots like Wedge Antilles, Norra Wexley, and Green Leader were incredible, as was the absolutely chilling perspective of Emperor Palpatine in the moments before his death. The 7th story is called Reputation, by Tara Sim. It's Boba Fett's POV of the battle of the Sarlacc pit. It ends just before he's thrown into it by a blind Han Solo. Now, if you've seen The Mandalorian, and later The Book of Boba Fett, you know he survives.
