About this deal

The wood mixes with the green notes but that sharp astringent note is still present. Instant headache. Our liability is limited and excluded to the maximum extent permitted under applicable law. We will

Errrr... no. (Allow me to state that I mean *no* offense whatsoever if you love this and are able to wear it... what follows is a description of my experience and mine alone. Obviously, this juice is still on the market because it *does* sell, and there are a significant number of people out there who smell amazing while wearing it. Unfortunately for me... I'm not one of them. Oh, boy, am I *ever* not one of them.) An hour or two later, the vanilla, wood and coumarin notes begin to shine, which I much prefer. Making it much more wearable, warmer and enjoyable. I like to spray on skin and clothes to see how it performs. The sharpness and pine lives a lot longer on clothes. I heard this was available where I live in Canada (The Bay), so of course I had to rush out to try it. The scent is great. If you have smelled the original and found it a bit too strong, this might be for you. This has a lot of the Aura DNA, but it has a lighter freshnes, that opens up a bit sharp, without being citrusy. It seems better for the warmer weather, where the original is great for colder days and rain.Second time trying it on.. First sniff is cute, sweet, endearing (alas still too intense I can't). Then it dried down to faint vanilla on my skin that was so boring and dull. I don't know what happened, where is my cloud of concentrated flower romance? I thought that was the end of that perfume. I went on about my day anyway. Then...a few more hours go by and.. Poof! A purply pink cloud with sparkles appeared, then faded away. That's THE smell that I smelled the first time! What. A. Tease! This intoxicatingly sweet and addictive smell is playing hide and seek with me. The sillage is pretty much non existent after wearing it for ~30 minutes I don't think anyone will be able to notice it except if they really lean in. For me I got about 6 hours of wear, as a skin scent, out of it and that's also quite disappointing. these terms and conditions in full. If you disagree with any part of these terms and conditions, do I've just tested Mugler Aura at Charles de Gaulle Airport. Unlike the much-maligned Chanel Gabrielle or the unremarkable Mon Guerlain, this is a long-awaited pillar that does NOT care about pleasing everyone and their momma. Mugler doesn't play safe, and thank god for that. Having said that, I'm pretty certain that Aura is not going to become an uber-popular, ubiquitous scent like Angel and Alien: it's more akin to Womanity, because it is rather ambivalent and polarising.

It is early evening in late summer. The sun is low and warm yellow in the sky. I decide to walk after dinner, wandering no where in particular. The blossoms and herbs release their heady and rich scents leading me onwards. I realize I am in my favorite grove of fragrant trees. It is lit by fireflies. This is where I have met my beloved many times before. Will they appear tonight? In the opening, I would have never guessed it is a flanker of Aura, but closer to dry down you can smell this Aura DNA. One of the spring/summer favourites for sure! I imagine it would be very beautiful on a slightly windy summery day. I believe it could start suffocating you a bit on a very hot day.Aura MUGLER is a unique Ambery Floral Carnal fragrance with instinctive notes that vibrate and pulsate. It fuses floral freshness and feline sensuality. It delivers sweet, green, aromatic, indolic floral, spicy, aquatic, powdery/ sunscreen/ cosmetic, and balsamic tones, all together. TL, DR: Eating a fruit cake made of green whipped cream (made from the Thai green ointment) and sugar-coated dried fruits in a tropical rainforest. I loved the comment from yesterday_borscht “This is the same Aura, but friendly to people from La vie est belle gang” because it’s the most accurate to my experience.

It does share the same Aura DNA, you get hints of greenness and that minty kind of vibe, but it's really really subtle. The “wolfwood,” described by Mugler as an “animalic” vegetal substitute for wood, is animalic, peaty and opaque. This is no woody base. Instead, the base is a prominent vanilla. It isn’t quite gourmand, but a little powdery. It reminds me of the vanilla in the first Alien Goddess release, but less boring. It's so addicting to smell it! At times it smells the way root beer tastes, other times it's a fresh powdery scent, and at the same time it has a camphoraceous menthol scent. In the initial spray it does have a citrus element that stings the nose with the alcohol and a tart sweetness like tart chalky candy (Sweetarts) but it goes away and becomes way softer. It doesn't really smell feminine to me but it does have a sweetness to it so it might not be exactly masculine either. I asked a few coworkers to smell it and one said it smelled like barbershop to her. I guess that kind of confirmed my belief that it seemed more masculine. I spray this on my pillows and some puff balls I had hanging in my car; I can't get enough of the scent! I am disappointed that the scent does not last long and dies down immediately and the sillage is very poor.... Maybe that's a good thing because other people might not like the way it smells. My boyfriend was okay with it it but it wasn't anything that was going to make him swoon. On my skin it dries down to a mild powdery vanilla or marshmallow scent and the root beer scent goes away. On clothes and pillows, the camphor / menthol scent is still there and sometimes smells like a very sugary spearmint chewing gum.....or maybe it smells the way the purple "Violet Flavor" Canel's gum tastes-- or maybe it was Chiclets grape flavor gum I am thinking of. When it really dies down, the scent reminds me of Matrix Biolage's "Blue Agave" Smoothing Shine Milk, but the milk has a tiny hint of coconut. Biolage has good smelling shampoos and conditioners; they have soothing scents. Their products don't have the camphor / menthol scent so if you want to experience the soothing green scent with the creamy vanilla, try Matrix Biolage's hair products. Anyway, strongly attracted by this stunner of a bottle and after trying Eau Sensuelle a few times in the store I finally could carry an Aura bottle home (even if a flanker) knowing I'd be at least able to wear it, and I'm so happy! Aura Sensuelle is very close to Aura EDP, closer than the notes list suggests. Vanilla and rhubarb are toned down by a lot, but they're still there as a part of the unmistakable Aura DNA which I'd summarize as 'eating custard in the jungle'. Very leafy and green, but also sweet and creamy and kind of reminiscent of woodruff flavored goodies. In Sensuelle, floral notes were added to make the scent softer and less punchy. I would not have guessed gardenia, but when you know it, it makes sense as a note. Like some plush, velvety white petals floating above all the green leaves. The cinnamon leaf note is also very subtle, I only detect it in because I know it's there. It's a nice little twist, but I wish these two notes were stronger to give the perfume more of a unique, distinct personality. The bottle, however, is absolutely gorgeous. If you own the EDP or EDT, unless you absolutely love the fragrance so much to buy all the flankers, I would not bother.
