About this deal

It's dried out fine mate, I think it's probably rust on the connectors that's done it. Only myself to blame, not complaining. If not a rainy day means you’ll be holding up inside the roof tent where there isn’t a great deal of space. This stunning area reminds me of the nordic tundra and offers plenty of opportunities for wild camping, with stunning views of mountains, lochs, and forests (try Glen Etive in the highlands near Glencoe). Is a roof tent self contained? With my setup I would say yes, but still you’re cooking outside. Can you stop anywhere in Scotland with a Rooftent? Nitecore NU25 for general fiddling about in the hours of darkness, tying rigs, landing fish etc. Easy to use, red mode is great - and so light you don't know your wearing it . . .use this for 90% of session

I had a led lenser and got rid,it was bulky and ate batteries.I have two Fenix and they are very well made,I have a rechargeable one and it lasts for ages. The other Fenix runs off two types of batteries a single aa or cr123a.There is a nitecore one that alot of people on here really rate Roof tents are ideal for road trips and adventures where you’re constantly on the move. You can set up camp wherever you find a suitable parking spot, providing flexibility and the freedom to explore without worrying about finding suitable ground for a tent, although sometimes it can be difficult to find a level piece of ground, Level ramps are worth buying. The problem with the awning is it will protect you from the weather but not the insects: call the new awning room!

Right infront of me. Its a tiny private lake in a London Borough so accuracy is important. Other anglers have their areas too . Pretty close . I have a couple of headtorches with that feature. Sometimes its great but when it starts going on or off unexpectedly because you moved your head or got too close to your bivvy door say - well it didn't take long to get cheesed off with it.

The Tentbox cargo comes pretty much ready to install with only a few things you need to bolt on and setup (where you put certain bits is also depending on the configuration you want). After selling my camper (which I really didn’t want to do) I had to look into buying something that I could use for overnight trips. The space inside your vehicle remains available for storing other gear when using a roof tent. This is particularly advantageous for travelers who need to carry equipment, luggage, or supplies. If you where travelling in your car, with a family and a families worth of sleeping equipment and tent, that will take up a hell of a lot of space. With a roof tent some you can leave the bedding in the tent and of course the tent is on top of the car so you gain loads more storage space in the car.

Box 1, Camp gear: One Tigris table, lightweight camp chair (can be used for hiking as well), 2 x bivvy lights (more on these later as these are a great investment, Flextail Tiny Repe l (Mosquito repellent (doesn’t work with midges). On this trip, I paid for one night to stop in a carpark near to Dunkeld as I was fishing the Tay the next day. Breathable 280gsm rip-stop canvas walls, with a 2000mm Hydrostatic Head Rating. Waterproof silicone-taped seams throughout, and waterproof zips on the end windows. The Tentbox Cargo has three doors ( one on each side and one on the reat) so it depends on how you want to use it where you install the clips for the ladder. looks good! My NU25 doesn't have a green light . . .has 2x stages of Red light plus an additional white flood . . ?

So, finally in Scotland in the land of legal wild camping, how does it go in a roof tent? Well it’s a bit of a grey area, as many forest carparks are being used under ‘Stay the Night’.I love the fact you can use them as an emergency power bank (but don’t think you can charge everything of them as they only have a 2600mAh Lithium battery. The remote control is very handy so you can turn them on but the range isn’t huge. Roof tents have a smaller environmental impact compared to traditional ground camping. They don’t require clearing ground vegetation or disrupting the natural landscape, making them a more sustainable choice in ecologically sensitive areas. I like the fact the Fenix are so well made, the nitecore just seems to be cheap plastic but could be wrong
