I would say being 549 chapters in and MC having barely any character development (except maybe a tear or two followed by his explanation that his goal is everything and nothing else matters which has been used since like chapter 100) is what's bothering me the most.

Anyways, I was kinda bored, he was still battling with his emotions and all that since the start of the novel, so I decided to spoil myself a bit and I read the last 30 or so chapters (it was around 720 chapters) and let me tell you that it was quite disappointing seeing that MC is just a robot with only power in his mind (just power, not other ambition), sure, I may not like it but it doesn't necessarily mean it's bad, the problem is that everything else that made the story interesting is gone. The power system converted to your typical Chinese xianxia power system, nothing interesting, every explanation is as vague as it could be, there is no logic behind it, it's just a xianxia power system.
