Return to the game’s epic seafaring saga with the Dream-chaser Hero Expansion and Dream-chaser Campaign Expansion. These products combine all of the content from The Grey Havens and the corresponding Dream-chaser cycle; all of the player cards from those expansions can be found in the Hero Expansion, while all of the scenario-related cards can be found in the Campaign Expansion, along with some brand-new campaign cards that weren’t part of the original release. This is the perfect opportunity for new fans of the game to experience this cycle of content, and for longtime fans to catch up on any parts they may have missed. Whether you want one expansion or both, no fan of the game will want to miss the Dream-chaser experience!

Whilst the Hero Expansion will only contain content already found in the original Angmar Awakened and The Lost Realm cycles, the Campaign Expansion will feature some entirely new scenarios. Both expansions will require players have a copy of either the original core set or the recently released Revised Core Set for The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game. Tyler Parrott (the designer) clarified that the #2 effect that says "do not adjust the Campaign Pool for your next campaign" simply means that you do not add Mendor to your Campaign pool, and you do not get to carry anything over into the next campaign. It does NOT mean (as I thought previously) that you get to take everything in your campaign pool after the Mirkwood Paths campaign into your next campaign. Whether or not you heed the call of the Hero Expansion, you can still look forward to a high seas adventure in the Dream-chaser Campaign Expansion! In the Angmar Awakened Campaign Expansion, players will find a storyline built from the original The Lost Realm and Angmar Awakened cycles. In the expansion, players will be initially aiding the Dúnedain in hunting some roaming orcs, before things start to escalate further beyond anyone expected. Eventually, players will be going up against entire war parties of orcs and wraiths, until experiencing a final showdown in the capital of Angmar. Whilst the side quest cards in the Hero Expansion offer nice optional incentives for players, the side quest cards in the Campaign Expansion will result in something bad if they’re not dealt with – drastically changing the motivation behind completing them.

A majority of the hero cards pertain specifically to Dunedain and elves, so if you enjoy using those heroes and you’d like to buff them, this could be a great expansion for you to snag. Ents make an appearance as allies here as well, and they are quite powerful, but you have to plan ahead because they enter play exhausted. The new ships aren’t the only things unique to this expansion. You’ll also find a plethora of new campaign cards, including upgrades for your ships, such as Armor Plating Dream-chaser CE, 172) or a Ballista Dream-chaser CE, 173). However, you can also upgrade the ships themselves, flipping them over to their stronger versions! Meanwhile, the cycle’s new player cards take The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game in several different, all-new directions. For example, in previous cycles we’ve seen various Secrecy cards that reward players for keeping their threat low, hiding from enemies, and sneaking their way through locations and around obstacles. But what about those heroes of Middle-earth who choose to face Sauron’s forces head on, confronting them face-to-face upon the field of battle? For those who do not shy away from risk and danger, we introduce a new ability trigger – Valour. Lonely men are we, Rangers of the wild, hunters – but hunters ever of the servants of the Enemy.” – Aragorn, The Fellowship of the Ring

The Rangers of the North have long guarded the region’s simpler folk from the dangers that roam the wilds. Now, one of their number has been captured, and his captors are dragging him deep into the hills of Angmar. Will you aid the noble Dúnedain? Will you brave the The Wastes of Eriador?EDIT - I got an official answer from Tyler Parrott on this (from the January 25th livestream playthhrough of an Angmar quest on their YouTube channel, about 1 hour in). Edited the post as a future resource. With treachery afoot and the forces of Angmar on the move, only you and your fellow heroes can aid the Dúnedain in keeping the darkness at bay. Whether you missed the original version of the Angmar Awakened cycle or are just now getting into The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game, you can look forward to adding the Angmar Awakened Hero Expansion and the Angmar Awakened Campaign Expansion to your collection when both products release this summer! At the Grey Havens dwelt Círdan the Shipwright, and some say he dwells there still, until the Last Ship sets sail into the West.” – The Return of the King But always I have let my horn cry at setting forth, and though thereafter we may walk in the shadows, I will not go forth as a thief in the night.” That’s right, in this campaign, each player gets their very own ship to control! These powerful objective cards can provide much-needed boons during your sea voyage, including a means of fighting off enemy ships. In addition to the titular Dream-chaser Dream-chaser CE, 136), which is required in each playthrough, players can choose to sail the Dawn Star Dream-chaser CE, 137), the Duskbringer Dream-chaser CE, 138), the Glórinaith Dream-chaser CE, 139), the Nárelenya Dream-chaser CE, 140), or the Silver Wing Dream-chaser CE, 141). That’s six ships in total; two more than the original release!

The western lands of Eriador have long remained peaceful under the vigilance of the Rangers of the North. Yet no grave can contain the evil forces of Angmar which lurk in wild and ancient places, stretching the valorous Dúnedain rangers far and thin in their duty to protect the land. With the awakening of this evil, it is up to a group of brave heroes to face the dire force head-on and protect Middle-earth from its shadow. For more about The Wastes of Eriador, the Valour trigger, and the Angmar Awakened cycle, we turn to lead developer Matthew Newman. Lead Developer Matthew Newman on Angmar Awakened The Angmar Awakened campaign is quite difficult, but new players might miss that it's possible to carry over boons from the Mirkwood Paths campaign into your "next" campaign. I'm convinced the designers intended for players to use this to make the Angmar Awakened campaign easier and more approachable. Two classic cycles for The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game are being reimagined in a new set of expansions. For millennia, the Elves of the Grey Havens have built beautiful, majestic white ships to sail into the West. No one knows the seas as well as they, but these Noldor sailors and navigators must remain ever vigilant. A storm is brewing on the horizon, and something foul awaits on a forgotten isle of Númenor. For nearly seven-hundred years, the Witch-king of Angmar terrorized the North from his home in Carn Dûm. Though his forces were eventually defeated, the shadows of the Witch-king’s evil have lain across the lands through all the centuries that followed his departure from the region.
