About this deal

You keep talking about splitters, but you are failing to see that there is nothing to split. Also, I can't see how you can use any of the 'splitters' that have been linked to. Required because my AV receiver doesn't support HDMI. I might just live with one source via optical and foregoe HD audio on there for the time being - until I can afford an HDMI amp.

If you often find yourself confused about high-value and low-price splitter box, Syncwire Phono Splitter Box is your solution. The syncwire phono splitterbox is constructed from sandblasting, anodizing and laser engraving, which make the connector able to resist pressure. You can wind it without having to worry about knots or kinks. And, this is made of tpe and bulletproof wire, and has anti-sway up to 5000+, which protect the cable from being broken. Simply get whatever length you feel you need for your setup. If the computer is close to the amp, typically 1 meter is sufficient. You said you want to connect the Amp to the computer, that implies that the amp will be feeding music into the computer, where you will presumably record it. Is that really what you are going to do? Out of the Amp and into the Computer?

I've used splitters myself, both hard (like you linked) and "soft". By soft I mean the spliiter is a cable design that splits as opposed to having a hard body. Such as this. I don't want to majorly derail anything that may be going on in this thread, but I came here about to start a thread on how to make stereo into mono using phono RCA connections and cables, so this topic caught my attention. Most often the computer is the source, it play music into the amp. That is sound comes OUT of the computer and goes INTO the amp. I think before we can make any recommendations, we need to know what equipment you have (Sound Card and Amp), and precisely what you are trying to accomplish? Are you recording music on your computer? Are you playing music from your computer? It is not really clear to me.How about 2 of these? They are push button which should be easier for you to switch and don't look too bad from the front - it looks like they switch 5 phonos which is unfortunate as you need the extra one for the .1.

What's 'right' here is a simple question of not doing something that will reduce sound quality, ie introduce distortion. That's trivial to ascertain and is not a subjective matter. And *anyone* can reach the same answer, it's NOT a personal thing at all. If all you can advise is 'try for yourself and see if you like the result' then that is NO advice at all. The guy doesn't want to do that, or he would not have asked in the first place. Most buyers agree that the splitter box is easy to use, sound quality is just fine. They say that the splitter box is designed for customers having several audio sources and outputs. Top Customer Quotes: I saw the below product yesterday, but anybody know if I can get one here in the UK? I might have looked in the wrong places. Multi-purpose phono preamplifier with A/D conversion and 2 output options: Line level and digital optic! Electronically balanced, low impedance, line level outputs. XLR pin1 is ground, pin2 is high, pin3 is low. The 1/4 inch connector's sleeve is ground, ring is low, and tip is high. We recommend balanced connections but unbalanced connections are ok."MI55ION showed you a photo of precisely what you need. These 3.5mm stereo to 2 mono RCA are very common and come in all grades of quality. But rarely do they cost a lot of money. A simple splitter has three phono connections on it, one in, two out. All three are simply wired together so the two outputs are a dead short circuit. Which is why if fails miserably if you use it in reverse as a combiner. If you connect two outputs to the splitter then you short circuit the pair of them. Unless there is something I don't understand here, you are making a very simply task very, and unnecessarily, complicated. A couple of 10kOhm resistors should do the job pretty nicely. Trouble is to construct such a combiner will probably require a bit of DIY as I can't recall ever seeing a ready made beast like this anywhere. Though I would not be surprised to find somebody making such a device. But far less common than a simple splitter. Most buyers opine that the splitter box is good for splitting a speaker between 2 inputs. In addition, a few say that the splitter box allows 3 inputs plus it is easy to use and sturdy. Moreover, they say that the splitter box is good quality for the money. Also, this product has a good strong build, looks good and does the job. In conclusion, buyers found this to be one of the best splitter box for daily purposes.
