About this deal

With a wide color gamut that covers up to 96% of the Rec, 709 color space, the BenQ HT2150ST 2200-lumen projector produces very accurate natural colors. This picture has a native 1080p resolution, producing very sharp images. Featuring up to 2200 ANSI lumens of brightness, this device is ideal for moderately lit rooms, It has a contrast ratio of 15,000:1, delivering sharp images and great dark room performance. However, the projector needs to be placed a short distance from the screen.

The BenQ TK800M offers 4K HDR capabilities and a high-brightness maximum of 3000 lumens to create its vivid and clear picture. The device advertises 30-bit color support, and a 10000:1 contrast ratio. This model also includes several modes for different entertainment genres such as sports. Gaming is another excellent use of the BenQ TK800M which makes immersive titles such as The Witcher 3 or AC Odyssey much more compelling. The extra pop in colors makes scenes lusher, while the contrast takes care of clean separations between well-lit and dim areas. However, competitive games such as CSGO or Apex Legends are out due to the 46ms input lag which adds a hit to responsiveness. Thoughts on the BenQ TK800MAs we briefly mentioned above the BenQ TK800M features the latest version of Texas Instruments’ 0.47″ DMD (Digital Micromirror Device) imaging chip. This is exactly the same chip that we get in BenQ HT3550 that we had reviewed recently and comes with a few improvements compared to the one we found in the previous TK800. Con 1) Somewhat Lower Light Output in Some Models: While they do well in resolution and sharpness, other projector brands, such as LG, may offer higher maximum brightness to cope with varied ambient lighting. The BenQ TK800M is powered by a 240-Watt lamp that supports four modes which also affects its lifespan. The four modes listed are Normal, SmartEco, Economic, and LampSave which have varying outputs. BenQ says that the bulb will last between 4000 hours, 8000 hours, 10000 hours, and 15 hours respectively for each of these modes.

A projection calculator is used to calculate a screen size when a projector is a specific distance away from the screen. As you move a projector And so now it seems that BenQ decided to release an improved version of it’s brightness capable model with a few worthy updates compared to it’s predecessor. The TK800M belongs to the Home Entertainment Projectors series which is supposed to be the most mainstream series from BenQ and since we didn’t have the chance to review the previous model it is now the perfect opportunity to test the new 2019 version and determine how similar, or not, it remains to it’s brother the HT2550. So without further delay let’s see what is on offer. DesignThe TK800 uses a 4K 120Hz Red, Green, Blue and White (RGBW) four segment colour wheel with colour coatings to produce more light output and coverage of the Rec.709 HD colour standard. BenQ also claim it improves motion performance from the TK800 which should make it popular with sports fans. Con 3) Smart Projector Setup Can Be Confusing: While BenQ has some very capable smart projector models, some users may have trouble connecting them to their favorite streaming apps. On the plus side, native projector support for Android TV is included in their larger projectors. Why Should You Buy a New BenQ Projector? The Optoma UHD60 is similar in performance, but significantly different in price. Other projectors to ponder... The TK800M menus consist of six categories with Picture having all the settings for colors calibration and brightness, Display that include various image settings, Installation that has some setup settings, Basic System Setup, Advanced System Setup and lastly Information that reveal various details like input source, picture mode, resolution and colors. Although there are many settings available there are very nicely categorized and you can find anything you need with ease. For those dealing with a projector for the first time it may take a bit of time to find your way around all the menus but in general it shouldn’t be very hard after a while. Thankfully, it doesn’t have to be like that. The BenQ TK800 is a great example of the form factor that delivers big screen action for those on a budget, producing an image up to 300” in size that it's as easy to setup as pointing it at a white wall. All you need is a soundbar for the audio and you’re good to go.

Pro 2) Outstanding Color Accuracy: BenQ projectors consistently win high marks for color accuracy. Their 1DLP models use a light processing engine with 30-bit color, allowing for full DCI-P3 Color Space and over 95% color uniformity. But the TK800M does not only offers improved HDR performance but also functionality. While the TK800 only supported HDR10 the new model also comes with HLG support that is used mostly for live broadcasting. Obviously no Dolby Vision or HDR10+ to be found but we were not expecting to find any of these two. Full HD / SDR / 3D Content The resonance chamber enhances the wider frequency range especially for deeply resonant bass from a compact speaker.fit your image onto a screen you need a projection calculator tool or throw chart to tell you the image size dimensions at the corresponding calculator, you will see dimension lines that will tell you the height, width, and diagonal measurements of your image. Calculating a Throw Distance when you know the IMAGE SIZE In keeping with the brand’s experience selling gaming monitors, BenQ markets some highly innovative projectors for gaming, including some of the first 4K native resolution 60Hz gaming projector models available. They also offer budget projectors designed for easy setup and portability. How BenQ Compares to Other Brands The BenQ TK800 3000-lumen projector has a stylish design that will make a statement in any conference room. This device has a native 4K UHD resolution, delivering up to 8.3 million pixels on the screen or wall. It produces detailed, crisp images and text, so it’s a good device for movies and presentations. This projector supports HDR10 tech, delivering incredibly gorgeous colors. With a brightness of up to 3000 lumens, this device doesn’t require a dark room. However, this projector has limited customization options. Or if you’re looking to host a movie night outdoors, you may want to consider one of BenQ’s portable smart projector models, such as the 1080p HD resolution BenQ GV series. This Bluetooth projector has IPX dust and splash resistance and comes with built-in speakers that provide surprisingly powerful audio output.
