The Merrell Hydro Moc is a lightweight shoe. If you prefer a sturdier slip-on shoe, perhaps the Merrell Jungle Moc would be a better option. Heel Type The Hydro Mocs are pretty good in the outdoors overall. You can hike along mellow trails with ease as the shoes ensure comfort and enough support. They are great for casual use such as going to the shops, walking around the house, gardening, shopping, dog walking, and strolls across the sand by the seashore. The Hydro Mocs are designed with 2mm lugs on the outsole, which is a great outdoor feel for these shoes when one does decide to take on the outdoors. I have found the outsole to provide plenty of grip and durability both in wet and dry conditions. For everyday use, the outsole performs fabulously, providing much more support and grip than most other casual sandals.Hydro Mocs only come in whole sizes. They run a little big, so if you wear a half size, you should size down. The main takeaway is don’t expect Merrell Hydro Moc sizing to be narrow, but they do not fit quite as wide as Crocs. As with most new footwear, I always recommend wearing them for small segments of the day at first so your feet can adjust, but I experienced only comfort when putting these on for the first time.
