Farrow & Ball Dulux Homebase Crown Heritage Crafted by Crown Ronseal Craig & Rose Sandtex Elle Decoration Rust-Oleum Annie Sloan Zinsser Cuprinol Laura Ashley There are two mainsizes of chlorine tablet on the market. A 200g large chlorine tablet (3 inch diamater) and a 20g small chlorine tablet (1 inch diameter). The large 200g tablets are mainly designed for swimming pools whilst the 20g tablets are for hot tubs and small splasher pools.Due to the water capacity, we do not reccomend using large 200gswimming pool tablets in a hot tub as they will lead to high levels of chlorine which could cause damage to components. Use 20g chlorine tablets only in hot tubs. How Long do Chlorine Tablets Last in a Hot Tub? Clearwater® Multi-Function Chlorine Tablets are an incredibly simple way to maintain clear and hygienic hot tub water. These multi-function chlorine tablets are designed for use with floating dispensers or the Lay-Z-Spa® ChemConnect. They will slowly erode over a period of 3 to 5 days, depending on the amount of water flowing over them. Drain hot tub to the minimum mark and re-fill with fresh water to the maximum mark, this will help to dilute the excess chlorine.

Lighting Sofa In A Box Bathroom Lights Mirrors Carpets Outdoor Lighting Radiator Covers Fireplaces & Stoves Clearwater pH Plus , also known as ‘pH increaser’ is the best way to increase pH levels that have dropped below the recommended level. To avoid skin discomforts and enable the chlorine in your spa to work effectively, it’s vital that acidity is monitored and controlled. The recommended pH balance of spa water is between 7.2 and 7.6. Clearwater Clarifier contains flocculants which bind small particles of debris and algae together so that your Lay-Z-Spa filtration system can adequately remove them, resulting in clean and sparkly water. This is a very effective way of preventing your spa water from looking dull and cloudy, due to the build-up of dead algae and debris that is too small to be trapped by your filter. Even if you have treated your spa for algae using Clearwater Algaecide, it is recommended that you use the Water Clarifier to remove any residual debris. Dissolve the quantity of Chlorine Granules in a jug of warm water and pour into your hot tub. Activate the AirJets for a few minutes to circulate the chemicals evenly throughout the water. You probably don’t want your life to revolve around chlorine! Convenience is probably high up on any hot tub owner’s lists of priorities so getting the right chlorination solution for you is important. Clearwater pH Minus , also known as ‘pH reducer’ is the most simple and effective way to decrease the pH of your spa water when it has surpassed the recommended level. pH minus can also be used to lower TA (Total Alkalinity) levels.

Multifunction chlorine tablets offer a more hands-off approach to chlorinating your spa. You can control the amount of chlorine released into the hot tub by adjusting the opening on your Chemical Floater or ChemConnect Dispenser so you can easily maintain a constant level of chlorine. Additionally, the tablets contain Algaecide and Water Clarifier for even easier water management. Mini multifunctional tablets make chlorine levels slightly more difficult to measure since the chlorine is released slowly over time. A little bit of trial and error might be needed at first to find the sweet spot on your chemical floater or ChemConnet that maintains the perfect level of chlorine. However, once you have found the level that works for you it is relatively easy to keep chlorine levels consistent. Always pre-dissolve chemicals in a clean, plastic container in a well-ventilated area. When pre-dissolving chemicals always add chemicals to water and not vice versa. Always add the chemicals to the water. CommercialSwimmingPoolChemicals Balancers Disinfectants and Sanitisers Flocculants and Clarifiers Leisure Industry Cleaners

Not balancing the Total Alkalinity levels in your hot tub can cause a number of issues that can impact your spa experience. For low pH levels below 7.2 you will need to use pH Plus to help raise the pH levels and balance the water. Dip a ClearWater® Test Strip in the centre of your Lay‑Z‑Spa, remove and hold it still for 15 seconds. Chlorine granules are relatively easy to measure and apply. Simply measure out the required amount into a cap or measuring device and add to the water. If you are unsure of the correct amount, you can add chlorine little by little until you reach perfection.

Dose rate is normally 1 to 2 tablets (placed into the skimmer basket, floating dispenser or chlorine feeder) per 45,450 litres (10,000 gallons) of water. The number of tablets required will depend on pool usage and weather conditions. If using a feeder or dispenser ensure that the tablets used are the same chemical (trichlorocyanuric acid). If another material has been used thoroughly wash the feeder out before adding tablets.

Blue Horizons Multi-Functional Stabilised Chlorine Tablets are an enhanced version of regular Chlorine Tablets as they are stabilised to minimise chlorine loss to sunlight and also contain a C larifier and A lgaecide for sparkling clear water. These tablets are a popular Chlorine Sanitiser for outdoor swimming pools and spas. Finally, look at the Chlorine and aim for a reading of 3‑5ppm. Total Alkalinity and pH work hand‑in‑hand and if these two are not balanced the sanitizer (chlorine) will not work properly. In a floating dispenser, fill the floating dispenser with tablets and adjust the aperture mechanism at the bottom of the dispenser to obtain the 1 - 3 mg/l (ppm) desired free chlorine range. Alternatively keep the dispenser aperture constant and vary the tablets inside to achieve 1-3 mg/l (ppm). The dispenser should be removed from the pool while swimmers are bathing. Make sure that any outdoor storage of chemicals is as far away from your hot tub as possible and in a dry, covered area. Humidity or even small amounts of water can cause chemical reactions that could lead to dangerous fumes. ClearWater® is our chosen and recommended chemical provider.
