Focus on keeping your head still and let your ears listen for the ball to go in the hole rather than your eyes following the ball as it rolls.

You win and lose holes, as you would in match play, by comparing the number of strokes taken for a hole against the fixed target score set by the committee. A competitor who breaks Rule 6-3a (Time of Starting) by showing up late, but is on the tee and ready within five minutes of his tee time, loses two points from his total.
