It’s a great buy at its current price point, and there are only a few better options in the market now. The Lenovo Y25-25 is a fantastic gaming monitor when it comes to speed and image quality. We like how fast it can go to reduce blurring and input lag, while the IPS panel used offers impeccable color coverage and accuracy. We like the minimalist-industrial aesthetic design as well, although the stand looks and feels overdesigned for a 25-inch monitor.

Lenovo promises a brightness of up to 400 nits. This value wasn't entirely reached in our measurements, and the panel only manages up to 386 cd/m² in some areas. For this, we had to make a lot of changes in the settings and increase contrast to the maximum. Users who activate the sRGB mode for better color reproduction will have to be content with 220 cd/m². Activating HDR mode doesn't result in higher brightness, but the processing of HDR signals is supported. The Lenovo Legion Y25-25 gaming monitor is particularly characterized by its ergonomic features. It can be raised by up to 13 centimeters, tilted by -5 to +30 degrees, swiveled by 30 degrees in both directions, and it offers a pivot function that allows the screen to be rotated by 90 degrees. Consequently, the Legion monitor leaves nothing to be desired in terms of ergonomics. The Lenovo Y25-25 covers more than 100% of sRGB and around 82% DCI-P3 which is decent for a high-refresh gaming monitor. But what we loved about it the most is that it is very accurate out of the box with a deltaE average of only 0.76. That’s fantastic for a monitor that isn’t branded for color-critical work but take note that it could vary between every unit. The stand included with the Lenovo Y25-25 offers tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustments, so getting the perfect viewing angle is readily doable. You also get a cable tie at the rear of the pillar for easy management so you can make your setup as neat as possible. You can also swap this part out for a VESA mount, but it’s only necessary if you need to save space or if you are building a multi-monitor setup.
