We do however believe that the switch mechanism, and the associated lever is a bad design that can break. Too many lawn mowers require you to fiddle about and dig out tools from the shed just to change the cutting height, but Bosch has got it spot on here.

There is also an integrated handle on the cutting deck, allowing for easier transportation to and from storage. The included instructions are quite clear, and you don’t need any advanced knowledge to put this lawn mower together.You can certainly use it on larger lawns too – it’s recommended for anything up to 300smq – but this will take a lot longer to mow compared to a model with a wider cutting deck. This mower is the updated version of the Bosch Rotak 34, the larger cousin of the Bosch Rotak 32R, and the smaller cousin of the Bosch Rotak 36R. This lever is at the front of the mower rather than at the side, although we don’t think there is much different in the positioning – at worst you only need to move an extra step or two to reach it.

Equipped with a massive 40L grass box, you won’t need to worry about stopping and emptying any grass clippings with the Rotak 34R. It may be difficult to tell the difference between Bosch petrol lawnmowers and Bosch electric lawnmowers. It’s light in weight and does a super job and let’s say you wouldn’t run out of energy using it like the old electric lawnmowers… this has ticked all the boxes for me but it is a lawnmower for regular mowing not for monthly mowing by any means! I spend a lot of my free time tinkering with mowers, and planning my mowing schedule for the next few weeks.

Relatively Easy Assembly – It’s not as easy as pulling it out of the box and you’re ready to go; there is a little bit of work required on your part. As a corded electric mower, you need to plug it into mains power, with the 10m cable offering plenty of reach for getting around the garden – you can use an extension cable if this is still too short! Manoeuvring it across the lawn requires little effort, ensuring you can mow for longer periods without feeling fatigued or achy – this makes an excellent choice for anyone that struggles to move heavier objects. Whether you want to leave the grass short, long, or somewhere in-between, these height settings are varied enough to let you get the perfect lawn length no matter the season or weather conditions. Now I am not someone who spend hours in the garden, but I do like both my front and back gardens to look really nice.
