About this deal

If you’re looking for a laugh out loud until you snort and can’t breathe anymore then definitely pick this one up. Tiešām jauka grāmata, kas atgādina visiem zināmo, ka visiem mēdz sāpēt un tas, ka dzīve neizklāj paklāju uz tevis gribētās takas ir tikai normāli. It was so refreshing to see 2 women with pretty large age gaps be able to help each other cope with their struggles and really enjoy spending time together.

As they increasingly spend time together Nell and Cricket help other heal through the struggles as they both move on in their new places in life. I was worried I wouldn't remember what happened in the first one seeing as it has been over 2 years since I read it, but you're instantly thrown into it. It made me incredibly angry and I thought, presumptuously, that other women in my position must be hating it - that the author totally missed her target audience.I wish this was more focused on the podcasts and what she actually says on them; we are told that she's getting these insane amount of followers but it's barely mentioned apart from as an anecdote and just doesn't feel well thought out.

I think we all feel like we're supposed to have everything together and life figured out and it's so easy to look at other people and think they have it all figured out when in reality we're all just ducks - smooth going on top and paddling furiously underneath! Life finally seems to be plain sailing for Nell - her job, her man, her friends all going well - but this wouldn't be real life without a few spanners in the works so nothing is quite as settled as she thought.

Having spent a large amount of her time alone in her flat, she's looking forward to being able to get out and about again with her boyfriend, Edward, and her friends. This book looks at that very situation with a good deal of humor and some insight into finding happiness. This is free download Confessions of a Forty-Something F**k Up by Alexandra Potter complete book soft copy.

More Confessions of a Forty-Something Fk Up" is a must-read that reminds us that amidst life's curveballs, there's always room for growth, laughter, and a touch of glamour. They don't stand out, she's not taking us for fools and repeating the first book, but she's cleverly worked the important bits into the earlier chapters which really helped get into the flow. You’ll laugh, cry and possibly rage a few times whilst reading this, but what’s reading for if not to make you feel something? Join her for more laugh-out-loud lessons to be learned, truths to be told, adventures to go on and joys to discover. It’s probably no surprise (if anyone’s still with me :)) that I found the ending disturbing and symbolic.

Now, I wrote something about the horrors of dating in your late thirties which I doubt will ever see the light of day. When her business goes bust and her fiancé with it, Nell's happy ever after in California falls apart and she moves back to London to start over.
