This game contains 30 cards, 6 images from the Star Wars movies on each card and always only one shared image between any two cards. The regular symbols of Dobble have been swapped with popular Disney princesses, such as Snow White, Rapunzel and Ariel. From 8+ no handicap is needed, although sometimes I wish they would count to 3 in their heads for me to win a couple! It fits in hand luggage if you are travelling and you could even play it on one of the fold down trays on a coach, train or plane. In Dobble, the aim of the game is to compete to find matching Star Wars symbols between cards: each card is unique and has only one symbol in common with any other in the deck, making the game that much trickier to play than it sounds.

Additionally the selection of games available, cards against muggles was a very hard game to find and I did not see it on many sites.

Outside of the cards, the game remains the same, with five extra game modes rebranded with Star Wars-friendly names, ranging from the banal ‘Use the Force’ to the largely irrelevant ‘Asteroid Field’. Turning over the top card of the draw pile players work out which of their symbols match to win that card. If you’re a fan of the franchise, then the benefit is obvious, but playing with people who haven’t seen the films brings hilarious consequences. If you really feel the need to sacrifice the stripped-back effectiveness of the original Dobble for a theme more attuned to your tastes (and know your Bantha from your Wampa without looking it up on a wiki), this may be ideal for you. You can go on a roll and suddenly every card has a particular symbol on and you just get in the zone, but equally other players have these spurts as well so it balances out in the end.

However they try to market it with these different mini-games, Dobble is still ultimately the same matching game. Play until all the cards in the middle have been claimed, and the player with the most cards in their personal pile is the winner. I’d thoroughly recommend playing a few rounds of each style when you play as everyone seems to have one that they’re best at.Now, to most of you gamers, this will sound very simple, but don’t be deceived by the simplicity of the gameplay, this game is very stressful.
