Magic UI 6 isn't a huge departure from pure Android 12, but does repeatedly try to foist Honor's gesture control on you, rather than the simple three-button alternative that is essentially the industry standard. There is the impressive charging speed and that powerful Qualcomm hardware at its core – as well as a display that seems to tick all the right boxes. Unfortunately, focusing is a problem for this camera package, despite including an 8×8 time-of-flight laser autofocusing system. That said, HONOR is a little aggressive on battery management, particularly when running out of juice, which sees performance drop significantly.
The Honor Magic 4 Pro feels like a true premium flagship, but it does have one or two frustrating features. All of them are made with super resistant materials so that they can protect your Phone in the best way, adapting perfectly to the edges with maximum precision and that your mobile survives any silly fall. A wired charge with the supplied 100W power brick takes the phone to 50 percent in just 10 minutes, and charges it fully in little over half an hour. While a lot of smartphone makers are switching it up and adding frosted finishes to their flagships, Honor has opted for high-gloss glass with a shiny back that bounces light off it with grace and beauty (until it gets grubbed up by greasy fingers).Certainly don’t believe the 100x zoom text etched into the phone’s back; it’s way beyond this camera’s capabilities. The amazing 100x zoom feature on the Magic 4 Pro's camera captures some detail at each stage of the zoom. The primary camera captures an abundance of detail, and its photos are balanced, with respectable contrast, and natural saturation. That said, the budget X7 is a world apart from the midrange X8, which has a much higher resolution screen, camera, and 6GB of ram compared with the X7's 4GB.
Loaded up with the top-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, the Magic 4 Pro is fast, making light work of most apps and games.
