The Logitech G435 looks nice and is really comfortable, and the dual wireless capability lets you easily use the same cans with your computer and phone (although not at the same time like with Corsair's Virtuoso RGB Wireless XT) .

Something about the cheap-feeling plastic doesn’t appear to keep sound out very well, though it’s unclear if that’s the real cause or the rather porous, lightweight ear pads. While the audio was just okay, the lack of any perceptible latency was impressive, as was the solid connection using both the Logitech Lightspeed dongle and Bluetooth.The treble response drops off sooner than we generally expect, but there’s arguably not many noticeable sounds above 10kHz in music, video games, and movies for you to miss. Logitech is known to offer an assortment of well-designed gaming peripherals, with wireless keyboards, gamepads, and various headsets – like the Logitech G Pro X, which ended up on our Best Gaming Headset list – that are usually praised by players the world over. Logitech says that dual beamforming mics reduce background noise, and the key word there is “reduce,” rather than eliminate. Logitech’s G435 Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Headset is like a solid economy sportscar: It’s reasonably quick, with a low-latency connection. Creative’s SXFI Air Gamer offers both low-latency gaming across devices and Bluetooth, but costs almost twice as much as the G435 and uses a cable to connect to PCs and PlayStations.

This means that through carbon offsetting programs and reductions in environmental cost along the product’s supply chain Logitech has determined that the G435 doesn’t have a carbon footprint. If you’re the proud owner of a G435 headset, you might be due for an update that will allow Bluetooth pairing with your Nintendo Switch. Though the headset survived a few drops during testing, it feels like it’ll struggle with long term wear and tear.
While I’m not a fan of that design in general, the G435’s is made worse by how thin the bar is that connects them to the headband. They seem to stop at a point, where going any further would make them more susceptible to brakes, either from wear and tear or from sudden drops. You’d have to listen for 8 hours on end at 85dB(SPL) to damage your hearing, but gaming sessions are routinely hours long (at least, they certainly were when I was a kid).My friends could always hear me when gaming, though the twin mics did leak in a little background noise here and there. And while the microphone captures your voice clearly, it also captures far more background noise than similar headsets that sport boom mics. It’s still a solid, simple wireless option, but as it stands, it’s no better for kids than any other lightweight gaming headset. To be clear, this doesn’t mean that there’s no environmental cost to producing this headset, but through the use of recycled plastic in its construction and the use of wood from FSC-certified responsibly managed forests in its packaging, the damage is minimized. Obviously, your mileage will vary here, but I imagine that the cups would have more room to move if the plastic bars were larger.Game audio, people talking in the next room, and the clack of my typing were all very noticeable in both game sessions and voice recordings. This gaming headset has scant few controls, but a decent number of additional features, and it doesn’t use Logitech’s G Hub companion app. The lack of sub-bass emphasis may mean that the rumble of explosions and gunfire is a little less impactful, but that might actually be preferable in competitive situations. However, in our testing, we found that while the volume limit works, it doesn’t work as well as it should. Listening to Baby Keem’s The Melodic Blue album, the music and vocals sounded good, but bass was lacking.
