About this deal

I found that many people had this problem with several types of sigma lenses (I also had problems with a sigma 30 1. With this lens, people can be photographed in the home, in the yard, at the beach, at the park, in the studio or at a wide variety of events and venues. No longer is an accessory plate necessary for attaching this lens to Arca-compatible clamp and the lack of an accessory plate enables a more compact lens. I could get very nice prints (mostly 12x8 inches) with it, even with some cropping (body used: Canon 10D). Thus, I depend solely on the commissions received from you using the links on this site to make any purchase.

Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 DG OS HSM | Sports review | TechRadar

the lens is sharp from edge to edge, scoring 3,390 line In this testing, consistency is especially important as consistency can be calibrated into accuracy if necessary, either in-camera or via the dock. The Intelligent OS system promises a maximum four stops of correction, which equates to around 1/13sec at 200mm, although testing shows that a steady hand can yield even better results. Diving right in, this lens turns in superb full frame corner-to-corner performance wide open at 70mm. Two pieces of SLD (the special low dispersion) glass in the front lens group and another two in the rear group offer excellent correction of chromatic aberration. This foot is Arca-type compatible for direct use on select tripod heads and also features a 1/4″-20 socket for attaching to an additional quick release plate.

Sigma 70-200mm F/2.8 DG OS HSM Sports Nikon FX

DG OS HSM | Sports also incorporates Intelligent OS* with an acceleration sensor and the latest algorithm capable of panning in all directions. As hinted to, images captured with APS-C format cameras do not show shading nearly as readily and the barely-recognizable close-to-1-stop of shading in 200mm corners is essentially the only consideration in this regard. Focusing is handled by the company’s longstanding Hyper Sonic Motor technology, which uses ultrasonic vibrations to drive the focusing group.Another point is that there is no stabilized version as of today, even though Sigma has at least two "OS" lenses. This lens gets an "S" stamped in a classy chrome circle on the lens barrel, indicating its "Sports" designation.

Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 APO EX DG HSM Optical Stabilised

The lens foot can replace the original lens’s supplied foot, making it possible to directly attach the lens to the Arca Swiss platforms and screw knob clamps. By optimizing spherical aberration, a smooth and natural bokeh effect is ensured making the lens perfect for portrait photography.Simply press a focus stop button and capture enough images to be stitched together during post processing. I have owned this lens for the past two years and continue to be pleasantly surprised by the sharpness and quality of the images. OS shows some slight magenta coloration on the left (foreground) and greenish hues on the right (background).
