I’ve been reading the author’s books for over twenty years and though I can't say that I’ve enjoyed all of the books I’ve read in equal measure when it comes to action-packed thrillers, David Baldacci is one of my go-to authors. And everything in Mickey Gibson’s suburban, single-mom life was about to get blown straight to hell.

At one point you’re questioning exactly how things are going to play out, and what the ending would look like. Also his characters need more anchoring when doing something that goes against the grain of who I'm being told this character is.The shelves were mostly empty, so it appeared Novak had either cleared it out or wasn’t much of a reader. There are some interesting angles if you can overcome the protagonist’s illogical behaviour and decision making, but not a series from Baldacci that’s going to race into my TBR list.
