There is humour in this book, it’s certainly moving at times, and there are characters to connect with, but, it didn’t quite work for me. The funny thing is I don't particularly like comedians, blame it on my poor sense of humour, but this book had me laughing out loud. Norman's story had me in tears, both of laughter and sorrow, as he bravely battles against the odds to achieve his dream. Norman was part of a comedy duo but his best friend, the funnier half of that duo, passed away suddenly.

The Funny Thing About Norman Foreman is a book full of hope, humour and kindness, with one of the most endearing central characters I've met in a long time.

We see Norman transform in front of our eyes, from a boy grieving his best friend to becoming confident and radiating happiness.Filled with wisdom, gentle humour, and some laugh aloud moments, this definitely takes the reader on a fun filled and yet poignant journey.
