The Nest is a portable and customizable desk organizer. It could be described as a more elegant version of the valet you have on your nightstand. It measures 240mm wide, 120mm deep and is 41mm tall. The top is a genuine leather surface which won’t scratch or damage your accessories. The interior is covered in a nylon poly melange fabric which provides a soft touch and cushiony feel. Store cards you don't use often in the lid to free up space in your wallet. Also included is an elastic pouch for smaller items that tend to go astray. On the medium-sized mat, the bottom layer for document storage is made of recycled PET felt. There’s not any additional material on the bottom to help the mat grip your desk, so hypothetically it could slide around somewhat easily though I haven’t that issue. There’s really nothing like the Nest that I can think of. There are desk valets, but this takes it to the next level. It is a convenient place to rest (and charge) your phone, wallet and keys but goes a step further by providing additional storage. You can grab it and bring it along to meetings or outings and you have a little accessories kit with you at all times.

To put it (kind of) simply, the Orbitkey Nest is a portable desk organizer that also functions as a wireless charger. There’s a lot to explore with this small product. It holds everything I need with enough stretch to allow for flexibility in sizing but not too much to risk items falling out of place. The pen (or stylus) loop is a clever addition because having a pen nearby never hurt anyone. The structure means the kit stays a consistent shape and it offers protection for your valuable contents.

I was excited to try the slim mat in hopes that it would solve the dilemma of the medium being too big.

Well, the width of the slim is great, but it’s even longer than the medium which was already a little too long for my desk setup. I don’t understand why they made a slim version instead of just making a small size. The size options are slim, medium, and large. To me, it’s a no-brainer to make a small size.Separate the top tray from the internal storage to easily retrieve items while you work at your desk, or simply flip the lid open like a book to access your essentials on the go.
