Something about the heroine and how naive she comes across made it really hard for me to root for her in any way. I was lowkey just waiting for the MC to catch up with what I assume most readers had already suspected from the start. As long as you're not hurting/endangering yourself or others I won't be commenting on it because it's none of my business nor anyone else's. Loved Phoebus backstory and I hope I get to see more of his romantic side-plot as well in the second book. Because of their mind connection, he could read all her thoughts, and boy did she have a lot of dumb thoughts. I put the book down for a week after getting a major ick half way through (you’ll know when you get there) and almost didn’t pick it back up.
