ACT 6 LEVEL 2: FERRILL Note: The game can't decide if her name is Ferril or Ferrill as both the game and trophy lists seem to use both spellings interchangeably & at different points. In a world where anyone can cast a life-destroying curse, only one person has the power to unravel them. Kellen does not fully understand his unique gift, but helps those who are cursed, like his friend Nettle who was trapped in the body of a bird for years. She is now Kellen's constant companion and his closest ally. But the Unraveller carries a curse himself and, unless he and Nettle can remove it, Kellen is a danger to everything - and everyone - around him . . . About This Edition ISBN:

Once upon a time, he lifted a curse from a family of children who’d been turned into birds. One of them refused, remaining a gull. One did something terrible and has not recovered. And one is Nettle, who spent three years as a heron and is now Kellan’s shadow. Her past haunts her, and being human is unfamiliar and uncomfortable, but she is dogged and patient and watchful, and Kellen would not be as good at his work without her. My rating might seem low, but I'm very happy I finally read a Frances Hardinge's book and I'll definitely read more. I was warned that this one was a bit different from the others and more "scenes crowded" and a bit too fast-paced and yes, that's true. One of the mcs is pretty dislikeable at times, too, but it didn't bother me. In the end I liked the writing, the world was very imaginative and the plot entertaining. It's also deeper than it first appears on several occasions, in my opinion. Note: Because the enemies will spawn infinitely before you finish the puzzle, before you throw the third person in, fill up on Health & Rage as you'll have another miniboss right after, then get on the elevator. ACT 4 LEVEL 2: SMUGGLING ROUTEOnce again, you'll land into another grinding section but a short one. Right after you land from it, Severin informs you that there is a tidal wave coming down the tunnel behind you. Use your Super Speed to run down the tunnel but if you're low on Rage, no worries; it's not necessary to use it the entire run. Even just using it for a few seconds is enough so that you can run the rest of the way in normal speed. I expected nothing less from Frances Hardinge… Fairytale unique story, loveable characters, crazy imagination but also felt so interesting and addictive, those are all I got in “The Unraveller”I also appreciate Hardinge's morally ambiguous characters - none of them simply good or evil, but each motivated by a complex blend of history, chance, and personality - and I really like the way her worlds manage to be spooky and dark but not hopeless.

You can’t cure a curse, you have to unravel it. You have to find the reasons that wove it, and work out how to pull the threads loose”.MINIBOSS #22: PINK SUIT x6 : Yes, that does say 6. Six Pink Suits. Don't worry, it's actually a very easy fight. Firstly, the Pink Suits will only spawn one or two at a time, never more. Secondly, there are a ton of punks you can Feed on for Health/Rage. And thirdly, what will make this fight practically insanely easy, there are 2 machine gun turrets, one on each side of the room. These machine guns can take down a Pink Suit in around 20 seconds. If you worry about them getting too close, you can even turn on Super Speedwhile you shoot them with the machine gun. Written in 2 POVs: Kellen and Nettle, they live in The Wilds… where anyone can create a “Life Destroying Curse” people can turn into animal, grow strange things on their bodies, even turn into things. Kellen has the ability to “unravel” curse… he can cure the cursed people tho not everyone happy about it and some even want to capture him because of this special ability. A little acrobatics later, head to the next elevator and move up. Maybe the game felt bad for not allowing you to kill that Foreman, because... a b c "Frances' Biography". Frances Hardinge's Dark Tower. Archived from the original on 26 May 2008 . Retrieved 2008-05-18. It’s a dark novel of dark themes and dark places. It explores the tensions of what it means to be human. It explores what it means to be no-longer-human or never human. It’s in these tensions, and in the complexity of feelings of those that straddle the human/inhuman divide that the book offers the most satisfying food for thought.
